Mr. and Mrs. A.L. McCaslin have been notified by the War Department of the death of their son, Cpl. Harve R. “Dick” McCaslin on March 2 at Iwo Jima. Cpl. McCaslin entered the service on Jan. 13, 1943 and was in major battles at Naniur, Saipan and Tinian. He was 22 years of age.
