Mr. Charlie Frank of Route 3 has received the following telegram from the Adjutant general: “the Secretary of War desires me to express his deep regret that your son, Pvt. Glenn B. Frank, has been reported missing since 29 Jan. in the Pacific Ocean area.  If further details or other information are received, you will be promptly notified.  The last letter received from Glenn was postmarked Jan. 2.  A later telegram has been received as follows: “The Secretary of War desires that I tender his deep sympathy to you in the loss of your son, Pvt. Glenn B. Frank, who was previously reported missing.  Report now received states he was killed 29 Jan. in Pacific Ocean area.”
