The R. F. Cooke/Kefauver Farm

House was built in 1846.
Senator Estes Kefauver lived here during his terms as a US Senator from 1948 to his death in 1963. The Senator also ran unsuccessfully for President of the United States in 1952 and for US Vice President in 1956. He is buried in the family cemetery located a short distance from the farmhouse.
Located in Madisonville, Tennessee, behind the Wal-Mart SuperCenter.
