Charles was the son of James Alfred & Mary Elizabeth (Rhea) Spivey.
He was b. 22 Mar 1903 in Monroe Co., TN (in the vicinity of what is
now called Spivey Cove in a homestead on top the mountain there.)
Charlie moved to Oregon in 1920 with his parents.

It is unknown who the young man is standing next to him.
