Among the prominent persons buried in the cemetery are William H. Dawson, Joseph Starritt, Monroe Starritt and Brice Williams.
William H. Dawson, was a Justice of the Peace and County Representative for several years, and was very prominent in the county. He was over 100 years old when he died.
Joseph Starritt was likewise a Justice of the Peace and a member of the Tennessee Legislative and very prominent in the county. His father, Monroe Starritt, was also prominent. Neither one has a marker at his grave.
