THE JESSE FIELD BIBLE RECORDS 

The first few pages of the Bible are missing, but the New Testament page 
is intact and was published by Daniel D. Smith, New York in 1824. 	 
There is a definite change in handwritings and pens used which indicate 
the various time periods the family records were entered in the Bible.

N. C. 
Jonathan W. Field was born the 21st of Feb. 1802, & died Feb. 1st 1862 
Born in Guilford Co, & died at Jamestown N. C.
 
       I was born in Guilford Co. N. C, on the 8th of Oct, 1813. I am a lineal 
descendant by my Fathers side of those noble patriots who emigrated to N. C. in 
the year 1794 from the State of Maryland & settled in Guilford Co, N. C. 
      My Grandfather, George Kirkman was one of the founders of Pleasant Garden 
Church, "was class leader for many years, was very plain in dress, never wore a 
dyed garment.
