I'm updating my query of 13 Jul 1998. My GGgrandparents Nimrod FLOYD& Mahala KELLER were married in Rhea County, TN, 9 Jul 1837. They arelisted in the 1840 census of McMinn County, TN with 2 male childrenunder 5 years, one male 5-10 yrs old & a female 60-70 years old inthe household also. In 1850 they are listed with children: Enoch 10yrs, Peter 9 yrs, Ome 8 yrs, George 6yrs, Abraham 5yrs, Samuel 4 yrs,Calvin, 3yrs, Rachel 2/12 yr. They later added James 7 Jan 1852 &John N. in Nov, 1856. I just recieved a record of theCulvahouse-Butler Cemetery in Meigs County which appears to be thesite of Nimrod's grave. The headstone says he was born 15 Dec 1806 &died 25 Aug 1856. In 1857 Mahala & the 10 children are in DentCounty, MO, and Mahala bought land. A biography of Calvin FLOYD inGoodspeed's History of Dent, etc. Counties in Missouri states thatCalvin was born in Meigs County,TN.
