I, James McNabb, of the County of McMinn and State of Tennessee being of sound
mind and disposing memory do make, ordain, publish, and declare this to be my
last will and testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me.

1st, it is my will that my just debts be paid.

2nd, It is my will that my executor get a set of tombstones worth fifteen
dollars to be placed at the head and foot of my mother's grave.

3rd, I will to my wife, Lavista McNabb, all my interest and right in my lands
together with the buildings and appurtenances thereto except Brogdan's lease.

4th, I will to my wife, Lavista McNabb, two hundred-fifty dollars.

5th, I will and bequeath to my wife, Lavista McNabb, 2 beds, bedsteads and
furniture, 4 chairs, 1 tea kettle, 1 copper kettle, and coffee mill and coffee
pot, 1 wash kettle and skillet and lid and baker and lid, all the water
vessels and 3 tin cups, all the crocks and jars and handles, 1 beehive, 1 cow
and calf and churn, 1 washtub, geese and other fowls, 2 tables and 1 chest, 2
jugs and [sis___] bottles, 1 pair fire draws and fire shovel, 1 rack, 1 side
saddle, one small kettle, also seven dollars in lieu of one prize heifer sold,
1 smoothing [dran[, also ten dollars out of any money on hand at my death,
also one year's maintenance value to her by R. A. Lowery and B. T. Biegler.

6th, I will and bequeath four hundred-twenty five dollars each to my sons viz
to Henderson W. McNabb, Isaac McNabb, Matthew McNabb, Nathaniel McNabb.  Also
to my son Elkany McNabb three hundred dollars, and to my daughter Lucretia
White three hundred dollars.

7th, I will and bequeath to my two granddaughters viz to Mary E. Ward and to
Mary E. Orton, one hundred dollars each, to be paid to them by my Executor
when they arrive at age eighteen.  But in case either of them die before age
eighteen, the money shall be divided among my seven heirs previously
mentioned.  (Note: He failed to mentioned Rhoda when he listed his children,
but names her latter on.)

8th, Should my wife, Lavista McNabb, marry, the dower to her shall cease and
my Executor shall sell my interest in said lands and divide the proceeds
equally among my seven heirs, viz Henderson McNabb, Isaac McNabb, Matthew
McNabb, Nathan McNabb, Elkany McNabb, Rhoda M. Robinett, and Lucretia White.

9th, Should there be remainder of money on the notes which I now have on hand
after division has been made as before directed, such remainder shall be
divided equally among my heirs aforesaid.

10th, I will and bequeath to my wife, Lavista McNabb, as many of the hogs on
hand as she may think will do her, having no horse, I therefore will her none.

11th, It is my will that when the Brogden lease expires, it shall be rented
and the proceeds divided equally among my wife and my son Nathaniel McNabb,
and that Nathan McNabb shall attend to the renting of the same and dividing it
as discussed.

12th, I will and bequeath to my two sons-in-law viz Price Ward and John Orton,
each one dollar.  Lastly, I hereby nominate and appoint Robert A. Lowery as my
executor to this my Last Will and Testament.
