I William G. KNOWIS considering the uncertainty of this Mortal life do make and
publish my latst Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to
say: first I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Lucreta all my land on the
West side of the lane & all on the East side to the Cross Fence running
East & West * all the House & Kitchen Furniture Two Horses Two plows
Two pair of Gear Two Cows & Calves one yoke of oxen & Cart all my Hogs
* my largest Crib of Corn Also all my sheep all the above described property I
will unto her during her lifetime or widwohood In addition to what I have
allreday mentioned If she should marry I give her a Horse Bridle and saddle
& Bed out of the above mentioned property I hereby object to any of the
above mentioned property being bound for any Debt wich my Children may Contract
If any of Children should become ungovernable I wish my Executor to bind them
out as to the remainder of my personal Estate I wish my Executor Samuel L.
HARSION to sell with the Exception of my Land which i want said Executor to
Rent out, at my wifes death or marriage my Request is that my Executor shall
sell all the above mentioned property and put the proceeds to the benefit of my
Children This is my last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal the sixth day of December in the year of our Lord One
Thouseand Eight Hundred and forty eight

The above Instrument Consisting of one sheet was now here subscribed by William
G. KNOWIS the testator in the presence of each of us & was at the same time
declared by him to be his last will and Testament and we at his request assign
our names herto as attesting Witnesses

subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing will who being first sworn herein open
Court proved the due Execution of said will as the Law direts It is therefore
ordered by the Court that said Will be entered of Record Witness my hand at
office this 5th day of Febury
