James M. PATTERSON’s Will
 
     In the name of God, Amen.
                       I James M PATTERSON being of sound and
disposing mind and memory blessed be God for it, And knowing
the uncertainty of life do publish and declare this to be my
last will and Testament
 
First          I will that my Executor pay all my just debts and Burial Expenses
                 out of any Effects I may die possessed of
Second   I will and bequeath that all the Remainder of my Estate
                Real and Personal be sold and after all debts and expenses are
                paid   That my Executor pa the same over to my Brothers and
               Sisters If living And If dead, To their children representing
               them dividing the same Equally (share & share alike) To my
               Brothers & Sisters
Third      I having Full Faith In the Integrity of Dr Edward SWANSEN
              do Hereby nominate and Appoint him my sole Executor To
              Execute this my Will And I give and clothe Him with full
              and Complete Power and Authority To Sell any and all my
              property Real and Personal as he deems best, And Empower
             and Authorize him To make deeds of conveyance To all
             Real Estate Sold by him or deed to any I have made
             Sale during my lifetime To the Purchasers under him
             or myself And I give him Complete Power and Authority to do and Perform all acts he may deem necessary To Execute my Will.  And I Hereby Release Him From giving any Bond or Security as Executor
                   Witness my hand this the 25 day of October 1877

witnesses to the foregoing will, who, after first having been
duly sworn, proved the due execution of the same as the
law directs-which will was, by the Court, ordered to be
Certified and recorded.
