Marshall County Will Book A
State of Tennessee, Marshall County January 29th 1849
I Sherwood W. GRAVES of the County and State above named being weak in body but
sound in mind do make this my last will Testament, to wit, 1st I commend my
Spirit to him who gave it and desire my body to be buried in a Christian manner
2nd- I desire with respect to what property I have that my wife Anna GRAVES
have the plantation on which I now live and the two negroes I now own and I
desire that she have the above during her life time or widowhood then to be
divided among her children after her death or second marriage 3rd- I desire
that the remainder of my property be sold and my debts paid out of the proceeds
of such sale 4tf- I hereby request that Richmond Campbell be my Administrator
and that Calvin R. DANIELS assist him in said business In witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.

Personall appeared in open Court H. D. CUMMINGS and William PETTY subscribing
witnesses to the foregoing will who being first sworn here in open Court proved
the due Execution of said will as the Law directs - It is therefore ordered by
the Court that said will be entered of Record Witness my hand at office this
5th day of Febuary 1849
