I William Alexander do make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all the wills by me at any time made.  First I derects that my funeral Expences and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any money that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my Executors.  Secondly I give and bequeath to my son Elias on bed. cloths and furnature.  Thirdly I gibe and bequeath to my daughter Susan Murry Alexander one bed. bed clots and furniture together with such bed clots she has made for herself also one cow and spinning wheel which I consider will make them equal with the res of my sons and daughters.  Fifthly I give and bequeath to my daughter Rachael Alexanders eight children the sum of five dollars wach to be paid to them within twelve months after my decease.  Sixthly I will and order that the balance of my estate consisting of Land and negroes Stock house hold Kitchen furniture and farming Utentials be eaqually divided among all my children in the following manner.  First my land to be laid off into three or four lots, as equeal as possible -- Secondly the residur of my estate of what kind soever to to be equally divided among all my children by lot drawn for by them successively.  Lastly I appoint my two trusty friends as Cary T. Kelley and Rovert Cox, my executors.  In witness whereof I do to this my will set my hand and seal this 20th day of July 1839/.

State of Tennessee Marshall County. Personall appeared in open court Nimrod Brown on the 4th day of November 1839 and J. O. Robbins on the 7th day of October 1839.  Subscribing withness to the foregoing will.  And proved the due Execution of said will as the law directs, which was ordered to be recorded.  Witness my hand at office this 7th day of October 1839.  M.
