{ SEAL} THE STATE OF TENNESSEE-No. 2228

To all to whom these presents shall come=greetings

KNOW YE, That, for and in consideration of military service performed by John Flintham to the State of North Carolina Warrant No. 5186 dated the 9^th day of December 1797 and entered on the 13^th day of July 1808 by No. 612

There is granted by said state of Tennessee, unto John Blackwell, assignee of the said John Flintham's Heirs

a certain Tract or Parcel of LAND, containing four hundred and eighty acres, part of Warrant lying in Bedford County, in the second District, on the head of the East fork of Rock creek, a South branch of Duck river - Beginning at two Ashes in the East boundary line of entry number one hundred and twenty five for one thousand acres in the name of Felix Robertson, the same being the South West corner to entry number three hundred and sixty three for seven hundred acres in the name of Hardy Murfree, running from thence with said Robertson's line South fifty six poles to an Elm, Ash and Sugartree, said Robertson's corner, thence with his other line West crossing a small branch at one hundred poles, in all one hundred sixty poles to a Beech, Ash and Ironwood, thence South crossing a small creek at eighty nine poles, in all one hundred ninety five and seven tenth poles to a Hickory, White Walnut and Sugartree, thence crossing several dry drains, in all three hundred and twenty eight poles to a Lynn in the West boundary line of entry number forty three for thirty five hundred ninety six acres in the name of Captain John Medaris, thence with his line North crossing the East fork of Rock creek at one hundred and forty six poles, in all two hundred & fifty one and seven tenth poles to a Beech, Hickory and White Oak, said Murfree's South boundary line, thence with the same West to the Beginning.

Surveyed the 30^th of November 1808 by Wm Gilchrist, D. S.

With the hereditaments and appurtenances. To HAVE and to HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of LAND, with its appurtenances, to the said John Blackwell

and his heirs forever.

In Witness Whereof, Willie Blount, Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed, at Knoxville, on the seventeenth day of May in the year of our lord, one thousand eight hundred ten , and of the independence of the United States, the thirty fourth.
