Felix Robinson's Grant for 1000 acres recorded April 10th 1810

{ SEAL}           THE STATE OF TENNESSEE-No. 1840

To all to whom these presents shall come=greetings

KNOW YE, That, in consideration of military Service performed by Isaac Cornlius to the State of North Carolina, Warrant No. 246 dated the 9th day of September 1785, and entered on the 12th day of August 1807 by No. 125---,

 

there is granted by said  State of Tennessee, unto Felix Robinson assignee of the Heirs of the said Isaac Cornelius

 

a certain Tract or Parcel of LAND, containing one thousand aacres lying in Bedford County in the Second District, third range and fourth Section, on the West waters of the East fork of rock creek, a South branch of Duck river.  Beginning at a Sugartree and two Beeches one thousand and forty poles North of the South West corner of said Section, running thence East crossing a running branch fifty two poles, another branch at two hundred, in all three hundred poles to an Ash, Elm and Sugartree, thence North crossing a dry drain at one hundred and twenty eight poles, crossing a running branch at two hundred and twenty four poles, in all five hundred and thirty three and three tenths poles to a Hackberry and Ash, thence West crossing a dry drain at seventy six poles, crossing another at ninety six poles, and another at one hundred and ninety five poles, crossing said branch sundry times, in all three hundred poles to a Hickory, thence South to the Beginning.     Surveyed the 16th day of June 1808 by Wm Gilchrist, D. S.

 

With the hereditaments and appurtenances.  To HAVE  and to HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of LAND, with its appurtenances, to the said Felix Robertson

and his  heirs forever.

In Witness Whereof, Willie Blount , Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed, at Knoxville, on the thirteenth day of  January in the year of our lord, one thousand eight hundred and ten,  and of the independence of the United States, the thirty fourth.
