To all to
whom these presents shall come--greetings
KNOW YE, That,
for and in consideration of an Entry made in the office of the Entry Taker of
Marshall County pursuant to an act of the General Assembly of said state and
entered on the 2nd day of August 1849 by No. 329
there is granted by the State of Tennessee, unto A.
Whitsett
a certain Tract or Parcel of LAND, containing Seven
acres & 154 poles
by survey bearing date the 17th day of September 1849
lying in said county, in Civil District No. 4. Beginning at a Popular in his line, thence North forty nine poles
to a Popular, thence West twenty six poles
to a Sugartree with Lynn pointers, thence South fifty nine poles to an
Ash, thence East twenty six poles to the Beginning.
With the hereditaments and appurtenances. To HAVE and to HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of LAND, with its
appurtenances, to the said A. Whitsett
and his heirs forever.
In Witness Whereof,
William Trousdale, Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set
his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed, at Nashville, on
the 27 day of
August in the year of our lord, one
thousand eight hundred and fifty one, and of the independence of the United States, the seventy sixth.
