Family relationships from 1860 Marshall Co. census and LONDON vs LONDON lawsuit, Tennessee Supreme Court, December term 1839. Nathaniel was Administrator for the estate of his uncle Amos London, Jr. that was settled in Giles Co, Tn. Before final settlement, Nathan died and Alfred L London was made administrator of the estate in March 1866.

MCHQ Biographical Sketches of Early Marshall Co Families for Hiram WILSON, Vol. IV, Summer 1973, No 11, pg 61 states that Elanor (Nelly) WILSON married Nathan LONDON, son of Amos and MARY LONDON. That Nathan was Amos’ son must be incorrect as Nathan is defined as John's son by way of his deposition in the LONDON vs LONDON case.

He was appointed Administrator to his father's estate at Marshall Co, Tn. on 24 July 1868. He is referred to as Alfred Leander London and not Amos Leander. On 14 Jan 1868 he posted a refunding bond at Giles Co. for his share of the estate of Amos London Jr. He purchased the rights to shares of the 404 acres of land from his father's estate in Dist. 11 of Marshall Co that belonged to his siblings, sold the land and left Marshall Co before the 1880 census. He is enumerated in 1880 at Hardin Co, Tn. where his is enumerated with Lillias and 4 children.

Notes
He enlisted in the CSA on 14 Dec 1861 as a Private in Capt. Isaac Hill's Co., Tn. Volunteers. This unit later became Co E, 53^rd Tennessee Regiment. He was on furlough from the Civil War when he died at home in 1862 – “The London Family” by Opal London Cox, pg 88.
