John Lee Endsley was the youngest child of James Burgess & Mary Amna (Bell) Endsley.

He married Jessie Lee Hazlett.  (Not Haslip as many sources often confuse the surname with).  There were and still are a whole bunch of Hazletts and Haslips mainly in SE Marshall County and adjacent sections of Bedford and Lincoln Counties.
