NOTES: Amos was a "Long Hunter" and explored and hunted the Globe Creek Valley of central Tennessee before 1806. He enlisted Jun 20, 1814 in Col Philip Pitkin's Regiment, Capt David Smith's Infantry Co. He fought in the Seminole Indian War and received 80 acres of bounty land in Tn. - Warrant # 10 693. He was named in the 1839 law suit London vs London that was heard in The Supreme Court of Tennessee.The suit was between his father and step mother Permelia Cheek London.
