Burial place is the Wood-Mayes Cemetery in Liberty Valley in Bedford County.  John Paisley Wood was the husband of Martha C. Woodward (1841-1910) of Marshall County.  His son, Walter Wood (1873-1944) and his  wife, Neeta Chapman (1884-1966) are buried at Round Hill. His daughter, Nora Wood, married James Alva Endsley.  They are buried at Berea Church of Christ Cemetery.  He served in the 32nd Tenn. Inf. with several Marshall County Belfast/Liberty Valley men.
