Inventory & Sale of personal
property of George Cummings
Six head of horses, Five head of Cattle, one Yoke of Oxen,
thirty five head of hogs, fourteen head of sheep, fifty head of Geese, three feather beds and steads, one clock,
one cupboard, Six chairs, one Chest, one Table, one pair of fire irons, one
Shot Gun, one Log chain, one Broad axe, one foot adds (adz??), One Lot
of Books, one pair of Gears, one frow, one pair of stylards, One Wheat fan, One
Loom, one large kettle, one (???),
one Sythe & Cradle, One flax wheel, Old Cast irons, Six Bus(???), One
hammer, One wash tub, One Square, One Cutting knife & lot of hoes, One
Slave named Jacob, age fifty, one Slave named Solomon aged fifteen, One Slave
named Jack, age twenty, one slave named Rachel aged about thirteen, One slave
Mary, aged eight or nine, one Slave Agnes aged about thirty & infant child,
One lot of (???), Twenty barrels of Corn, One man's saddle--
The above is a
true and perfect inventory of all the goods and chattels, rights and credits of
the said George Cummings, Dec'd which have come to my hands, possession or
knowledge or the hands of any other person for me to the best of my knowledge
and belief this the 28th December 1842.
