McCord/Williams Cemetery

The old graveyard at Civil Order is now called the Williams/McCord Cemetery. Rev. James WILLIAMS’ grave is marked with an impressive tall stone with birth/death dates, plus the words, "In Peace With God."
Sarah Allison WILLIAMS’ stone reads, "A Memorial of Sarah WILLIAMS, kind-hearted and affectionate mother and friend to her family and being the affectionate consort of James WILLIAMS, who was born the 13th day of January 1789 and deceased the 6th day of October 1843, in peace with God."
Other markers include:
Lucy PEACE, died January 11, 1950, aged 60 years.
Daniel WILLIAMS, died May 11, 1846, aged 68 years.
