The Bible of John Endsley, bought of Major John Brown, August 31, 1816 was presented to B. Endsley by John F. Endsley in 1923.

Now in the possession of James W. Endsley, 215 5^th Avenue, North, Lewisburg, TN 37901.

JOHN M. ENDSLEY and CHRISTIANA BURGESS was maried on the 19^th day of Dec. 1833.

MARY ENDSLEY, wife of John Endsley, departed this life on the 13^th of October, 1854 at half past twelve o'clock in the evening.

CYNTHIA BURGESS, wife of Willis Burgess and daughter of John Endsley and Mary his wife departed this life on the 1^st day of February 1877.

ISAAC NEWTON ENDSLEY, son of John Endsley and Mary his wife departed this life the 30^th of January 1882, at eleven o'clock at night.

The earliest transcription of the John Endsley Bible Family Record that I have seen is on pages 19 & 20 of the August 1970 issue of MARSHALL COUNTY HISTORICAL QUARTERLY, Vol. I, No. 1.

An excerpt of the John Endsley Family Bible Record also appeared in the MARSHALL COUNTY HISTORICAL QUARTERLY, Vol VIII, No. III, Fall 1977, page 86. Unfortunately that report had a fundamental error which, I believe, is the origin of the many genealogies incorrectly reporting John Endsley [husband of Mary Blair] to have been "John Endsley, Jr., son of John Endsley, Sr."

Mrs. Lula Cummings Endsley (Mrs. John Roy Endsley) provided most of the Endsley/Cummings family information for the "JOHN BLAIR book" compiled by Lucy Blair. Mrs. Lula Endsley died in 1995. Her children very graciously provided me with photocopies of her unpublished papers. I noticed that she had that error in her notes but had crossed through the error and written in the correct information. The version of the John Endsley Family Bible Record she provided for inclusion in the "JOHN BLAIR book" is correct.
