Clanton Cemetery

Photographs from the collection of Fran Marlow

Below are some of the markers of the cemetery with the first person buried there, Josiah Clanton. Photos of a few graves of his sons, and a granddaughter, and a daughter-in-law are included. The Clanton Cemetery is neat and well maintained, due to the loving care by Wilson Clanton, a descendant of Josiah Clanton.

There are two Hart men, who were sons of Silas Hart and Martha Ann Drake. There is a grandson of Silas Hart and Martha Ann Drake. These elder Hart's are buried in their own family's cemetery, Hart-Dickens Cemetery.

I did not photograph the graves of the other people in the cemetery, who were friends of the Clanton family.
