Welcome

Macon County was formed in 1842 from portions of Smith and Sumner county and is located in Northern Middle Tennessee.  Sumner County makes up the western boundary while Smith makes up the southern.  To the east is Clay County and Jackson is found in the southeast.  Southwest of Macon is Trousdale.  The counties of Allen and Monroe in the great state of Kentucky make up the northern border.
