Martel Memorial (African-American) Cemetery
This cemetary is dedicated to people of color. Located on Beal's Ferry Road, 7 miles from Lenoir City, contains approximately two acres. The land for the cemetary was donated by Dr. G. M. Burdette. A small church is nearby. DIRECTIONS: From Lenoir City, take Martel Road to the Graffiti Bridge, go straight onto Beal's Ferry Road about 2 miles. The cemetary is on the left hand side before the lake crossing at the Golf Course. Verified by Mr. Daniel J. Essek, Historian, Lenoir City, Tennessee, Wednesday, April 28, 1999.
