  James Cordell Hull, age 89,  born, October 10, 1916, Hohenwald, TN, died March 10, 2006 at Hohenwald, TN.  The funeral will be held at: Hohenwald Church of Christ, March 14, 2006 at 1:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be King McCarver, and Steve Reeves.  Burial will take place March 14, 2006 in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  The body of Mr. Cordell Hull will be at the Hohenwald Church of Christ beginning at 1:00 PM on Monday for the public. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and until service time on Tuesday.  Mr. Hull was a Church of Christ Elder for 37 years, Retired Insurance Agent, Retired Rural Letter Carrier (27 years), Veteran U.S. ARMY – W.W. II, Member United Flying Octogenarians, Charter Member Hohenwald Golf & Recreation Club, Active Pilot, and a member of various other Civic Organizations.  Survivors include sons, Don and DaleHull;  3 Grandchildren; 4  Great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by wife, Sue Ann (Cotham) Hull and parents, Clarence Patton and Rosa Laura (Brown) Hull.

  Norman Lee Bryan, 65 of Partridge Ct., beloved husband of Gayle Lester Bryan, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at his residence.  A native of Bloomington, IL, Mr. Bryan was a son of the late Vernon Edward and Doris Marian Givens Bryan. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in geology and a minor in archaeology. He served as a meteorologist in the U.S. Air Force. He was a professional geologist and worked as a exploration geologist in base and precious metals for various mining companies throughout the United States and then worked as an environmental geologist at the Savannah River Site from 1987 until 2003. Mr. Bryan was also very active with the Boy Scouts of America starting in 1987. He served as District Commissioner, Assistant Scoutmaster of the National Jamboree Contingency Troop, was a member of the National Jamboree Staff three times, was a Philmont Contingent Leader and was presented with the Yanabe Yalangaway Award. He was a member of Aiken Church of Christ where he was an elder and had served as a short term missionary to Guyana in 2004. He was also a former vice president of the Aiken Gem and Mineral Club.   Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Sandra Leigh Bryan Summerall, Ooltewah, TN, two sons, Todd Wayne Bryan and Shawn Patrick (Melissa) Bryan, of Aiken, five grandchildren, Amanda White, Justin Summerall and Avery, Karsen and Tatum Bryan and four brothers, Louis Wayne Bryan, Centerville, TN, Rodger Everette McDonald, Hohenwald, TN, Irvin Harvill McDonald and Kenneth Arch McDonald, both of Centerville, TN.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Aiken Church of Christ with Ministers Mark Hudson and Wallace Beasley officiating.   Rev. George Parks McMurray (Colonel Mac), retired U.S. Army officer, died July 8, 2006 at his home in Hohenwald. He retired in 1969 after having served in Europe, Korea and Vietnam. He was 77 years old. Rev. McMurray was ordained a Baptist minister in Boca Raton, Florida on Jan. 30, 1985. He was a member of the Masonic lodge for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita, in 1995. Survivors include a sister, Rose Allen of Long Island, NY, three nieces, Rose Marie Ryan of Toms Rive,r NJ , Roberta Skelly of Middletown, NY and Connie Kohirus of Clearview, UT. Also a sister-in-law,  Hilde Nachman of Idaho Falls,  ID. Graveside services were conducted at the TN Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday with Richard Tate officiating.

  Robbie Adelle Brooks White, 89, died Friday, October 27, 2006 at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, TN. She was born on December 5, 1916 to Benjamin Moore and Crochie Elizabeth Brooks of Athens AL where she grew up. In 1933 she married Winfred Presley White. They moved to Hohenwald, TN in 1938 where the lived for 60 plus years. She was a homemaker, an excellent sewer, a wonderful cook and loving mother. She worked at Ben Franklin Store in Hohenwald and later for the Lewis County School System. She was a member of the Springer Church of Christ where her husband served as an Elder. She loved to serve others, and she spent her life serving in various capacities as both a Christian woman and a wonderful friend, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, October 30, at McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald, TN. With Artie Collins and Gene Durham officiating. Burial will be in the Springer Cemetery. Survivors include three sons, Garland White (Reba) of New Johsonville, Gerald White (Sue) of Long Beach MS and Price White (Beth) of of Waverly, two daughters, Marilyn Whittenberg of New Johnsonville and Carolyn Wilbanks (Danny) of Iuka MS.   Timothy Patmor Bell, age 58, born December 22, 1948, Nashville, TN, died December 31, 2006 at NHC HealthCare of Hillview, Columbia, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, January 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM.  The officiating clergy will be David Adcox.  Burial will take place January 2, 2007 in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be January 2, 2007 at 10:00 AM.  Survivors include mother, Mary Alice (Berry) Bell and cousin,  Cassandra Peterson.  Preceded in death by his father, Clarence Reese Bell.
