Johnny Lee Adkins, Sr.,  age: 59  of Hohenwald died March 17, 2004 in Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, TN.   Funeral services will be conducted 20 March  2004, 11:00 AM , in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.  Glen Floyd will officiate.   Burial will be in the   Springer Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Mr. Adkins is survived by Johnny Lee Adkins, Jr., Son, Linden, TN;  Ronnie Adkins, Son, Hohenwald, TN;  Connie Mathis, Daughter, Waynesboro, TN;  Dona Hayes, Sister, Linden, TN;  Betty LeMay, Sister, Smyrna, TN;  Roxie Kelley, Half Sister, Gallatin, TN; 12 Grandchildren, 4 Great-grandchildren.   Mr. Adkins was born January 24, 1950 in Memphis TN.   He is preceded in death by Ollie Adkins, Father and Eula Mae Dabbs Adkins , Mother. He was self-employed mechanic.

Sarah Elizabeth Ammons, age 91, born November 20, 1913 in Hickman Co., TN, died December 2, 2004 at Lewis County Manor, Hohenwald, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, December 3, 2004 at 11:00 AM.  The officiating clergy will be Jack Tharp  and  David Jackson.  Burial will take place December 3, 2004 in the Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 6:00 PM.  Survivors include son, Jerry (Alice) Ammons;  granddaughter, Lisa Chambers;  great-grandchildren, Allie and Dylan Chambers.  Preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Ammons, and her parents, George and Ada (Sisco) Lynch.  In the grocery business since 1959

David Lee Ashley, age 54, of Hohenwald died Wednesday, February 11, 2004. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, February 15, 2004 at 2:00 PM  at McDonald Funeral Home. Richard Tate will officiate.   Mr. Ashley is survived by his wife Donna Lynn Ashley, three sons David Robison, Zachary Keith Ashley, and Joshua Gabriel Ashley all of Hohenwald. Two daughters Rikki Rebecca Carroll of Columbia and Adrian Erin Keltner of Hohenwald. His mother Ruth McMorris Ashley of Hohenwald, three brothers Michael Wayne Ashley, Mark Alan Ashley and Steven Kelly Ashley all of Hohenwald. One sister Amy Ruth Maki of Memphis and one grandchild William Grant Carroll of Columbia.   Mr. Ashley was born September 22, 1944 in Hohenwald, TN.  He is preceded in death by his father Audrey Gerald Ashley. He was self-employed.

Estlee Barber, age 85, of Hohenwald, died Thursday, January 8, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 10, 2004, 1:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Artie Collins, minister at the Springer Church of Christ will offciciate. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.   Survivors include a son, Leonard Barber of Hohenwald, a step-daughter, Loudean Hickerson of Chesterfield, one brother, Wylie Sharp of Mason and a sister Mary Holder of Waynesboro. Also nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.   Mrs. Barber, born August 26, 1918 in Perry Co., was the daughter of the late John Willis and Mattie Ann Hickerson Sharp. She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Barber and a son Willard Barber. She was a employee of Henry I. Seigel until retirement.  

Irene Wilma Barber, age 88, December 2, 1916 in  Florida, died December 1, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, December 3, 2004 at 1:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Jimmy Garner.  Burial will take place December 3, 2004 in the Dabbs Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 5:30.  Survivors include Son, Gene Barber;  Stepdaughter, Jessica Roden;  Brother, Virgil Seiber;  Sister, Aussie Shelby;  4 Grandchildren;  7  Great-grandchildren;  3 Great-great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson Barber, and parents, Cleveland and Ethel (Clay) Seiber. 

Isabell Barber, age 94, born, April 15, 1910 in Wayne Co., TN, died May 14, 2004 at Baptist Hospital, Nashville, TN.  Visitation will be 3:30 PM Saturday.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, May 16, 2004 at 1:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Bruce McIntrye.  Burial will take place May 16, 2004 in the Chesnut Grove Cemetery, Linden, Perry Co, TN.  Survivors include son, Everette Barber;  daughter, Loradia Walker;  granddaughter, Candace Simpson;  grandson, Erick Barber;  great-grandchildren, Brady  and Benjamin Simpson;  sisters-in-law, Hettie and Ruth Warren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, William Claudie Barber, parents, John and Loradie (Westbrooks)  Warren.

Rachel Elizabeth Bates, age 85, born, November 14, 1918 in Hohenwald, TN,  died October 2, 2004 at Henry Co. Medical Center, Paris, Henry Co, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, October 5, 2004 at 1:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Richard Tate.  Burial will take place October 5, 2004 in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be October 4, 2004 4:00 PM.  Survivors include husband, Sam T. Chester Arthur Beckett, better known as "Chet", died Wednesday [18 February 2004] at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. He was 65. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, February 20, 2004, at 1:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Sam Livingston, Pastor of Highland Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial is to follow in the Downey Cemetery.   Survivors include his wife Cherry L. Brown Beckett, three daughters Vickie Whitwell and Jessica Bain of Hohenwald, and Melissa Clayton of Hopkinsville, KY.   Also two brothers Robert Beckett of Elyria, OH, and Daniel Beckett of Brunswick, OH.   Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.   Mr. Beckett was born April 14, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio.   His parents were the late Daniel Vale and Vera Elizabeth Roose Beckett. He was a retired Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Agency. He served in the United States Air Force.

Hettie Mae Stowe Bresbois  age: 91  of Hohenwald died June 20, 2004  in Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia TN.   Funeral services will be conducted  June 23, 2004 at 11:00 AM , in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.    Jimmy Garner will officiate.   Burial will be in the   Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Mrs. Bresbois is survived by sons, James (Margaret) Stowe and  Chuck (Glenda) Stowe; daughters, Jo Ann (Van) Rasbury, Billie (Billy Ray) Hospins, and Freddie (Claude) Mathis;  brothers, Jack, Edd, Bernice and Alton Crowell;  10 Grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren.    Mrs. Bresbois was born November 30, 1912 in Hohenwald, TN to William Fred and Louise Odom Crowell.   She  is preceded in death by her parents; 1st Husband, L. D. Stowe;  2nd Husband, Turner Bresbois,  brothers, Dee, Ossie, Bill, Flexie, and Arthur Crowell.   She was retired from Genesco.

 Rick James Brewer, age 42, born January 26, 1962 in Redwood City, CA, died May 16, 2004 in Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Monday, May 17 at 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2004, starting at 9:00 AM at the church. The funeral will be held at Blondy Church of God, May 18, 2004 at 2:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Marcus Webb.  Burial will take place May 18, 2004 in the Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Survivors include his wife, Lori Lynn (Jones) Brewer; mother, Jo Ann (Kinstler) Brewer;  sons, Nathan Brewer, Kaelan Brewer and Jordan Brewer;  brothers, Ray Brewer, Ronnie Brewer and Robert Brewer;  sister, Melanie Maher.  He is receded in death by his father, Ray Brewer. 

Donna Marie Brown, age 40, born May 29, 1964, Danville, IL, died July 12, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, July 14, 2004 at 2:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Marcus Webb.  Burial will take place July 14, 2004 in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 4:30 PM.  Survivors include her husband. Grady Roy Brown, age 60, of Hohenwald died Wednesday, March 19, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN. The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, March 20, 2004 at 1:00 PM.   Bill Webb will officiate.   Burial will take place March 20, 2004 in the Whitehead Cemetery, Waynesboro, TN.  Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Patricia Brown (Buie),  step- sons Rodney and Brent Grimes,   brothers Charles R.,  Bobby R., Larry R.,  Mike R., and David Brown, sisters,  Jane Johnson, Juanita Warren, Mary Hickerson,  Diane Jackson, and Connie Rollin, and granddaughters, Cortni, Kaylee, and McKenzie Grimes.   Mr. brown was born May 9, 1943 in Waynesboro (Topsy), TN. He is preceded in death by his parents,  Charles Raymond and Bess Leftwich Brown, son, Grady Darrell Brown, brothers,  Jerry R and Eddie R Brown, and sister, Freddie Ary.

William Harold Brown, age 81, of Springville, TN, born April 14, 1923 in Hohenwald, TN, died July 19, 2004 at Henry Co. Medical Center, Paris, TN.  The funeral will be held at: Graveside, July 22, 2004 at 10:00 AM.  The officiating clergy will be Elton Jackson.  Burial will take place in the Grinders Creek Church of Christ Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be July 22, 2004 9:00 AM.  Mr. Brown was a veteran of the United States Army. He served in W.W. II  Survivors include sons, Clifton  and James Brown;  Daughter, Deborah Johnson;  brothers, Ernest and Joe Will Brown;  Half Brothers, James and Dale Brown;  Half Sisters, Ruth Scott, Martha Hensley and Betty James;  5 Grandchildren;  9 Great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his wife, Georgia (Brackeen) Brown, parents, Walter and Maude (Poore) Brown, and daughter, Agnes Guy.

Loveless.  Burial will take place July 28, 2004 in the Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN on   Wednesday, July 28, 2004.  Survivors include sons, Dwight,  Johnny Fred and Billy Loyd  Cotham;  Brothers, Billy & Bobby Cothran;  sisters, Freddie Sublett and Nell Peters;  9 Grandchildren;  12 Great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Cotham, and parents, Willie Duncan and  Lila (Boyce) Cothran. 

James Wesley Cotham, age 73, of Hohenwald, died Sunday, January 4, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at 1:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel. Glen Floyd will officiate. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery.   Survivors include three sons, Justin D. and Tony Cotham of Hohenwald, and Terry W. Cotham of Lawrenceburg. One brother Elvin Cotham of Portland, two sisters Nola Vaughn of Wrigley and Maybelle Cotham of Hohenwald. Also eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.   Mr. Cotham was born August 13, 1930. He was the son of the late Will J. and Estalee Skelton Cotham. He was a retired residental carpenter.

Pauline Couch, age 92, of Hohenwald, TN,  died June 6, 2004 at her residence in Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Monday, June 7, 2004 at 4:30 PM.  The funeral will be held at McDonald Funeral Home Inc, June 8, 2004 at 2:00 PM.  The officiating clergy are Bill Webb and  Glen Floyd.   Burial will take place June 8, 2004 in the Davis-Oak Grove located in Hohenwald, TN.  Survivors include second husband, Carl Couch;  sons, Harlan C. Charles Eugene Dunning, age 64, died June 10, 2004 at Williamson Medical Center, Franklin, TN.  A Memorial Service will be conducted Monday, June 14, 2004, 11:00 AM, at the American Legion, 119 North Park Ave. in Hohenwald.   Mr. Dunning was a veteran of the United States Army. He met his wife of 41 years in Germany while in service. He is survived by his wife, Annelies "Uschi" Dunning;  father, George Eugene Dunning;  son, Jeffrey Joseph Dunning;  daughters, Angela Marie Lawson and Sarah Eddlemon;  sisters, Linda Dugal and Marsha Kibby;  4 Grandchildren.  Mr. Dunning was born June 3, 1940 in Lansing, MI.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Leslie (Hall) Dunning.    Family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Lung Association.

Jerry Lynn Durham, age 60, of Centerville, died Sunday January 11, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.   Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday January 14, 2004, at 10:00 AM in the Hohenwald chapel of McDonald Funeral Home.   Glen Floyd will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Freedom Holy Temple Cemetery.   Survivors include his wife Annie Marie Davis Durham, two daughters, Melissa Durham of Centerville and Joyce Keown of Nunnelly. Two brothers, Bedford Durham of Dickson and Curtis Durham of Nashville. Two sisters Bessie Webb and Wilma Basinger both of Hohenwald. Four Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren.   Mr. Durham was born August 14, 1943.   He was the son of the late Dewey and Mary Louise Reeves Durham.   He was employed as a guard with Turney Center.

Matthew Joshua Frazier, age 25, died Friday March 5, 2004 in Hohenwald. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Webb will officiate. Also a step son Kirk Alan Branch of Hohenwald.   Mr. Frazier was born December 19, 1978 in Hohenwald. He was a brick mason by trade.

Robert Maximillian Fuhrman, age 73, died Wednesday January 21, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 24, 2004, 1:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Sam Livingston, Pastor of the Highland Baptist Church will officiate. Burial is to follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens.   Survivors include his wife Janice Davis Fuhrman of Hohenwald, two sons Michael Fuhrman of Ft. Stockton TX and Timothy Fuhrman of Upland CA. Three daughters Linda Honeycutt of Dallas TX., Katherine Hurt of Euless TX., and Cynthia Fuhrman of Upland TX. Two step-daughters Wanda Hudson and Connie Davis of Hohenwald. One brother Bill Fuhrman of Savannah GA. and a sister Dale Camp of Royal Oak Mich. Also twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.   Mr. Fuhrman was born July 26, 1930 in Detroit, [Wayne County], Michigan. He was the son of the late Robert M. Fuhrman Sr. and Margaret Sullivan Fuhrman. He is also preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Fuhrman and his second wife Wilton Fuhrman. At the time of his retirement he was a employee with the State of Tennessee Department of Corrections. He was employed at the Middle Tennessee Correction Center. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines.

Hermon Paul Gandy, age 85, born, January 21, 1919 in Florence, AL, died March 19, 2004 as a result of injuries on in the Buffalo River in Lobelville, TN.   He was found March 19, 2004.    The funeral will be held at Blondy Church of God, March 31, 2004 at 2:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Dr. Charles Helms, Bill Webb & Marcus Webb.  Burial will take place March 31, 2004 in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be 5:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral Home and after 11:00 AM Wednesday at the church.  Survivors include sons, Paul (Pat) Gandy and Charles (Kathy) Gandy;  daughters, Sandy (Jack) Curtis, Connie Gandy, and Jennifer Zimmerman;  13 Grandchildren;  24 Great-grandchildren;  1  Great-great-grandchild.  Preceded in death by his parents, William Robert and  Lizza Lucinda Caroline Aday Gandy,  and his wife, Hester Mae (Butler) Gandy .  Mr. Gandy was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters local 572 for 63 years. He served as business Manager and was a charter member of Trinity Assembly of God. who served as Deacon.

Dolores Mae Gilkey, age 74, of Hohenwald, died Monday February 23, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted in Redondo Beach, CA.   Survivors include two sons, William K. Gilkey of Lakewood, CA. and Robert L. Gilkey of Hohenwald. One daughter Rita J. Chriss of Hohenwald. One brother George Richard Warner of Idaho and a sister Joyce Sandland of Carson, CA. Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.   Mrs. Gilkey was born December 9, 1929 in San Francisco, CA. She was the daughter of the late Earl Wayne and Ruth Elizabeth Tolover Warner. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earl Gilkey.   She was a homemaker.

 Carol Ann Graves, age 54, of Hohenwald, died Saturday, January 10, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 12, 2004, at 2:00PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Glen Floyd will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.   Survivors include a son Jeremy Roden and a daughter Diana Roden both of Hohenwald, father and step-mother Naymond and Marjorie Graves of Hohenwald, three brothers, Ron and Jimmy Graves of Hohenwald and Andy Graves of Springfield. Two sisters, Linda Moores of Jacksonville, FL. and Melissa Raymer of Hohenwald. Grandmother, Augusta Williams of Hohenwald and a grandson Jarrett Roden also of Hohenwald.   Ms Graves was born March 18, 1949. She is preceded in death by her mother, Doris Carol Williams Graves. She was employed as a registered Nurse at Skyline Medical Center.

Jerry Paul Graves, age 57, of Hohenwald, died Tuesday. January 6, 2004, at the Lewis Manor Nursing Home.   Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 8, 2004, at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.   Jerry McDonald will officiate. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.    Survivors include a sister, Jewell Wisdom of Hohenwald, one brother Walter Graves of Fairview and five nieces and nephews.     Mr. Graves was born October 18, 1946. He was the son of the late William Allen and Nellie Shann Graves. Having been born in Lewis County, close to his home, Mr. Graves was a life long resident.

Virginia Christine Hickerson, age 68, formerly of Hohenwald, died Friday, January 9, 2004 in Normandy, TN. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, January 11, 2004 in the Himes Cemetery at 2:00 PM.   Dan Boyd will officiate.   Survivors include one son, Bobby Hickerson of Hohenwald, two daughters, Letha Graham and Patricia Young both of Normandy.   Two sisters, Ruth Whitehead of Hohenwald and Elizabeth Tibbs of Pleasantville.   Also six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.   Mrs. Hickerson was born Sept. 9, 1935.   Her parents were the late Claude and Mavis Campbell Hinson.   She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Baptist Hickman Nursing Home in Centerville.

Eddie Paul Hinson, age 69, died at his home on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 at Freedom Holy Temple Church in Hohenwald at 3:00 PM. One daughter Gaylyn Morris of Hohenwald. Three brothers, Charles Ray Hinson, James Elton Hinson and Ronald Lee Hinson all of Hohenwald. Three step-children, Nathan Wheeler (Sharlene) Hensley, Linda Odom (Steve Clayton), and Paula Hensley all of Hohenwald. Fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.   Mr. Hinson was born October 27, 1934 in Hohenwald. He is preceded in death by his father Hercules Elton Hinson. He was a security guard for Martha C. Enterprises. He served in the National Guard.

Kenneth Ray McCann, age 67, of Humboldt, died Sunday March 7, 2004 at his home. He was formerly of Hohenwald. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at New Hope Baptist Church in Hohenwald. The Reverend's Leonard Ballinger and Jerry McDonald will officiate. Burial is to follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens.   Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Blondell Azbell McCann, a daughter Darlene Reasons of Humboldt, Three sons, Randall and Marty McCann of Humboldt and Michael McCann of Hohenwald. Also six brothers William, Gene, Jerry, Joe, Ed, and J.D. McCann all of Hohenwald. Three sisters Mozetta Hinson, Betty Jones and Evelyn Keeton all of Hohenwald. There are nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.   Mr. McCann was born April 18, 1936 in Hohenwald. He was the son of the late Buford and Camilla Stutts McCann. He was an employee of the Jefferson Smurfitt Corp. in Humboldt. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas McCann.

Lois Iva Lee McClain, age 82, died Monday [23 February 2004] at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Louis Joseph Misurale, age 86, of Hohenwald, died Friday January 30, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia.   Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feburary 1, 2004, 3:00 PM, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.   Father Kevin Dowling will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens.   Survivors include his wife Josephine Misurale, two sons, John Misurale of Ft. Pierce FL. and Dennis Misurale of Debary FL.   Two daughters, Joan Marie Russell Of Shelton, CT and Debra Satterfield of Hohenwald.   Also ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.   Mr. Misurale was born October 4, 1917 in Bridgeport , CT.   He was the son of the late John and Angelina Graziano Misurale.   He was a retired carpenter for the city of Sunrise FL. and a veteran of the United States Army.

Karen Diane Ogg, age 44, of Hohenwald, TN, died 19 June 2004 at her residence on Buffalo Rd. in Hohenwald, TN.  A  memorial service will be held at Blondy Church of God, June 21, 2004 at 2:00 PM .  Bill Webb will officiate.  Survivors include mother, Melba Ogg;  brothers, Jerry and Danny Ogg,  sisters, Peggy Pogue, Monette King, Brenda Simmons Fowler, and Donetta Carroll.  Ms. Ogg was born December 8, 1959 in Hohenwald, TN.  She was preceded in death by  her father,  Buford H. Ogg, and her Brother, Bobby Ogg.  Ms. Ogg was employed at CNA.  

Ray Jordan Ohman, age 83, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted in Joliet, IL.   Survivors include his wife, Rachel Thompson Ohman of Mt. Pleasant.   Four daughters, Julie Gilkey of Hohenwald, Nancy Ohman of San Pedro, CA., Gail Baker of Belaire ,TX., and Sarah Madrid of Lima, Peru.   One brother Carl Ohman of New Orleans LA., a sister Celia Ohman of Blue Island IL.   Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.   Mr. Ohman was born October 4, 1920.   He is the son of the late Paul and Celia Jordan Ohman. He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Ohman and a brother, Clifton Ohman.   A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Ohman was a retired medical salesman for a labratory supply Company.

Freddie Elijah Prince, age 75, of Hohenwald, died Saturday, January 10, 2004.   Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 12, 2004, at 11:00 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Marcus Webb will officiate. Burial will follow in the Napier Cemetery with military honors.   Survivors include a sister, Cordie Perry of Lawrenceburg.   Mr. Prince was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Louise Prince.   He was born Sept. 17, 1928 in Summertown.   His parents were the late William Marion and Sudie Elvira Wynn Prince.

Frances Clara Ransdell,  age 81,  born June 16, 1923 in Hohenwald, TN, died November 12, 2004 at Hohenwald, TN.  The funeral will be held at: Graveside, November 14, 2004 at 2:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Artie Collins.  Burial will take place November 14, 2004 in the Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Sunday, November 14, 2004, 12:00 PM .  Survivors include her brother, Loyd Crowell;  sister, Jean Gillespie;  Several Nieces & Nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband, Perry Ransdell, and parents, John Hooks and Ester (Hooper) Christian. 

Willadean Belew Reeves, of Hohenwald, died Monday [23 February 2004] at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 25, 2004, at 10:00 AM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Chip Hunter will officiate. Burial is to follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Reeves of Ardmore, OK. , two daughters, Patsy Ellison of Hohenwald and Rhonda Johnson of Seymour . Two brothers Jay Belew of Parsons and Lobes Belew of Fairview. Also a sister, Dale Shannon of Nashville. Six grandchildren, Justin Reeves and Brandon Mash of Hohenwald, Jarod Reeves of Johnson City, Sam and Andolyn Johnson of Seymour and Toni Perdue of Columbia. One great grandchild, Jace Perdue of Columbia. Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband Carlton Ernest Reeves. She was the daughter of the late John Leonard and Claude Brazier Belew. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Pilot Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, The Home Demostration Club – Early Bird. She was on the Senior Citizens Board and the Soil Conservation Board.

Mary Lucille Staggs, age 87,  died June 2, 2004 at Life Care Center, Columbia, TN.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 4, 2004 at 7:00 PM.   The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, June 5, 2004 at 1:00 PM .  The officiating clergy is Elton Jackson.   Burial will take place June 5, 2004 in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Survivors include daughter, Beverly Joy Slavich;  brother, Ray (Tutt) Brown;  grandchildren, Timothy Gray, Belinda Dickens, John Allan,   Stephen Scott , and Paula Slavich;  8 Great-grandchildren;  1 Great-great-grandchild.  She was born March 22, 1917 in Hohenwald, TN.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Eulis Staggs;  parents, James and Sally (Adkins) Brown;  adoptive parents, Frank & Florence Brown;  daughter, Rebecca Fay Gray;  brothers, Odie and Finley Brown;  sister, Marie Deavers.

 Sarah Ann Stinson, age 74, born December 15, 1929 in Gordonsburg, TN, died October 21, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.  The funeral will be held at: Graveside, October 24, 2004 at 2:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Dan Butler.  Burial will take place October 24, 2004 in the Palestine Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Sunday, October 24, 2004 11:00 AM.  Survivors include daughter, Carolyn Sue Stinson;  brother, Howard Leonard Stinson;  sisters, Thelma Qualls and Bertie Virginia Hutson.  Preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Lillie Mae (Hill) Stinson. 

Augusta Ann Talley, age 82, of Summertown, TN, died May 31, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.  Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 5:00 PM.  The funeral will be held at McDonald Funeral Home Inc, June 2, 2004 at 11:00 AM.  The officiating clergy is Ricky Glass minister of the Summertown Church of Christ.    Burial will take place June 2, 2004 in the Loveless Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Survivors include son, Clarence Eddie Talley;  daughter, Freddie Modrall;  brother, Alvin Murphy;  sister, Tommie Southall;  3 Grandchildren;  3 Great-grandchildren.  She was born  February 26, 1922 in Lewis Co., TN.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Emory Talley;  parents, Johnny  and Ollie (Carroll) Murphy.   Family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Summertown Church of Christ church library. 

Mac Arthur Talley, age 52, born May 21, 1952, Lewis Co., TN, died August 19, 2004 at his residence in Hohenwald, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, August 21, 2004 at 2:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Johnny Clayton.  Burial will take place August 21, 2004 in the Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Friday, August 20, 2004 at 4:30 PM.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Phillips) Talley;  son, Michael Talley;  daughters, Alicia (George) Frogge & Tammy (Josh) Brown;  brother, Paul Talley;  Granddaughters, Miranda Frogge & Sara Elizabeth Brown.  Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Jones and Mattie Lou (Harris) Talley. 

Jimmy Dwight Tanner, age 54, of Hohenwald, died Friday, February 27, 2004.   Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 29, 2004, 2:00 PM in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home.   Bill and Marcus Webb will officiate. Burial is in the Loveless Cemetery.   Survivors include two brothers, Jack and Larry Tanner of Hohenwald.   One sister, Carolyn Bobo of Hohenwald.   Mr. Tanner was born October 20, 1949 in Hohenwald. He is the son of the late Jesse David and Eloise Webb Tanner. He was an employee of the City of Hohenwald and worked with water treatment services.

Judith Faye Tanner, 51, of Hohenwald, died Saturday, January 17, 2004, at St.Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, January 19, 2004, at 2:00 PM, in the Loveless Cemetery.   Perry Tuttle will officiate.  Survivors include a sister, Suzanne Brewer, of Hohenwald.   Miss Tanner was born December 21, 1952 in Michigan.   She was the daughter of the late Robert Elvis and Betty Lou Pace Tanner.

Ada Estelle Tharp, age 99, died June 13, 2004 at Lewis County Manor, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be 5:30 PM on Monday, June 14, 2004 at the funeral home and from 10:00 AM on Tuesday until service time at First United Pentecostal Church.  The funeral will be held at: First Pentecostal Church, June 15, 2004 at 2:00 PM.   The officiating clergy will be David Jackson and  Chip Hunter.  Burial will take place June 15, 2004 in the Dabbs Cemetery in Hohenwald. TN.  Mrs. Tharp is survived by her son, Loyd Kenneth Peevyhouse;  daughters, Marilyn Hinson, Bernice "Bill" Dabbs, and Lois Lynch;  sister, Nadia Beasley;  13 Grandchildren;  20 Great-grandchildren;  3 Great-great-grandchildren.  She was born January 31, 1905 in Hohenwald, TN.  She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Loyd Peevyhouse;  2nd husband. Samuel E. Tharp;  father, Jim Moon and mother, Ava (Reeves) Moon.

Imogene Tharp, age 84, December 10, 1919, Hohenwald, TN, died August 9, 2004 at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, TN.  The funeral will be held at McDonald Funeral Home Inc, August 11, 2004 at 1:00 PM.  The officiating clergy Jack Tharp.  Burial will take place August 11, 2004 in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Tuesday, 5:30 PM.  Survivors include sons, Wayne and Mack Tharp;  Daughter, Shirley Shipp;  4 Grandchildren;  5 Great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents,  Alonzo (Lon) Coble and  Occiedent (Vaughn) Poore;  brothers, Evan,  Carl and Edwin Poore;  husband, Clyde Edwin Tharp;  granddaughter, Dana Michelle Tharp.  

Mamie Othel Tharp, age 90, of Hohenwald, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 2, 2004 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Jack Tharp and David Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.  Survivors include four sons, George L. Tharp of Pinckneyville, IL,, J.W. Tharp of Murray KY, James David Tharp of Minooka IL,, and Thomas Tharp, Jr. of Alexis, NC, three daughters, Virginia Romain of Paducah, KY, Mary McElhone of Hohenwald and Rachel Graham of Tulsa, OK.   Also one brother, Jessie Shanes of Hohenwald, twenty two grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.    Mrs. Tharp was born December 28, 1913 at Only, TN.   She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma Hill Shanes.   She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lester Tharp, and two sisters, Frances Yates and Nell Brown along with her parents.   She was a homemaker.

Dorothy Mae Turnbow, age 75, born, September 30, 1928 in Hohenwald, TN, died, September 15, 2004 at Perry Community Hospital, Linden, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, September 17, 2004 at 11:00 AM.  The officiating clergy will be David Salisbury, and Malcolm George.  Burial will take place September 17, 2004 in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2004 at 4:30 PM.  Mrs. Turnbow was a member Lomax Church of Christ, Pilot Club, Historical Society, Home Demonstration Club and past regent James Lawson DAR.  Survivors include sons, Tony and Dan (Debbie) Turnbow;  Brothers,  Eddie,  Larry "Butch" and Horace F. Lawson, Jr.;  Sisters, Carol Faye Canady and Judy Throneberry;  Granddaughter,  Amy Turnbow.  Preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Turnbow, and parents, Horace F. Lawson, Sr. and Jessie Lucille (Fain) Lawson. 

LaNeta Nicole Turnbow, age 41, of Hohenwald, died Sunday, January 11, 2004, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 13, 2004, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Dennis Alrooge will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Loveless Cemetery.   Survivors include her son Harry N. Beatty of Hohenwald, father and step mother James N. and Mary Ann Turnbow of Hohenwald, sister, Etta Jane Chambliss of Texas, step brother Gerald G. Howarth of Spotswood, N.J.   Also Three step-sisters, Barbara Ann Hensley of Hohenwald, Deborah M. Howarth of Canton, GA and Pamela A. Curry of Ballground, GA.   Ms. Turnbow was born October 4, 2004. She was preceded in death by her mother LaNiIta Jean Powell Turnbow. She was a convenience store clerk.

Verna Mae Turner, age 90, born February 12, 1914 in Hohenwald, TN, July 9, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.  The funeral will be held at: Graveside, July 11, 2004 at 3:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be L. B. Brumley.  Burial will take place July 11, 2004 in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Sunday, July 11, 2004 1:00 - 3:00 PM.  Survivors include son, Jimmy Eubanks;  Grandsons, Wesley, Stan, Tom, and Tarrance Eubanks;  Nephews, W. T. and  Johnny DeVault;  Niece, Mary Ruth Hensley;  Preceded in death by her parents William David  and Della (Flippo) DeVault ; Husband, Fred Turner. 

W. Keith Waller, age 61, born February 19, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA, died October 29, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.  The memorial will be held at: New Song Baptist Church, November 1, 2004 at 5:30 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Bruce Peltier.  Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 1, 2004 , 1:00PM - 4:00 PM.  In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the New Song Baptist Church.  Survivors include his wife, Judith (Hamblet) Waller;  mother, Nan B (Murray) Waller;  sons, Jeremy and Jonathan Waller;  Daughters, Amber Nussey and Heidi Waller;  brother, Curtis Waller;  sister, Merrilyn Tidmarsh;  Grandson, Christopher Nussey;  Granddaughter, Summer Nussey.  Preceded in death by his father, John M. Mary Elizabeth Webb, age 82, died June 10, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.  Visitation will be 5:00 PM Friday, June 11, 2004.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, June 12, 2004 at 10:00 AM.  The officiating clergy will be Bill Webb and  Marcus Webb.  Burial will take place June 12, 2004 in the Loveless Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Miss Webb is survived by a sister, Betty Love and several Nieces & Nephews.  She was born August 7, 1921 in Hohenwald, TN.  She is preceded in death by her parents, William Keston and Anna (Churchwell) Webb. 

Mary Evelyn Whitehead, age 72, born July 12, 1931, Hohenwald, TN, died May 23, 2004 at Magnolia Regional Health Center, Corinth, MS.  Visitation will be Monday, May 24, 2004 at 6:00 PM.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, May 25, 2004 at 2:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Coy Reeves.  Burial will take place May 25, 2004 in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens, Hohenwald, TN.  Survivors include daughters, Bonnie Durham and Carolyn Crowe;  step-mother, Rozena Dabbs;  brothers, William Earl and Leland Dabbs;  sisters, Retha Nelson, Carmen Jean Talley,  and Joy Reeves;  grandsons, Anthony and Justin  Crowe;  granddaughter, April Durham;  great-grandchildren, Misty and Jennifer Crowe.  Preceded in death by parents, Eurman and Era (Baker) Dabbs, son, Johnny Drummond, brothers, Ray, Lonnie, and Jackie Dabbs;, and sister, Joann Potter. 

 Thelma Wicks, age 97, born March 18, 1907 in Hohenwald, TN, died July 30, 2004 at Perry Community Hospital, Linden, TN.  The funeral will be held at: Graveside, August 1, 2004 at 3:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be L. C. Loveless.  Burial will take place August 1, 2004 in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Survivors include her son, Douglas Wayne Wicks, daughter, Vera Mae Woolford, and daughter-in-law,  Kathy Wicks;  3 Grandchildren;  7 Great-grandchildren;  5 Great-great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wicks, parents, Algia and Estalee (Duncan) Garrett, and son, Edward Wicks.

Jack Harold Williams, age 93, born September 5, 1910 in Hickman Co., TN, died March 21, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, March 23, 2004 at 1:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Malcolm George, David Salisbury and Elvis Williams.  Burial will take place March 23, 2004 in the Lomax Crossroads, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be 4:30 PM Monday.  Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Louise (Hinson) Williams ;sons, Bob Williams, Elvis Williams and Jackie Williams;  daughters, Gladys Baxter, Jane Spears, and Rebecca Sisco;  brothers, Paul Williams and Billy Williams;  19 Grandchildren;  26 Great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents, Eugene  and Mernevie  (Blackwell) Williams.

Rogers, Gloria (Bob) Watts and Colene Spears;  Sister, Frances Wienclaw;  17 Grandchildren;  30 Great-grandchildren;  25 Great-great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his Wife, Sara Leona Arzell Talley Willis; Parents, Thomas Seaborn  and Elizabeth Cash Willis;  Brothers, Aubrey, Raymond, Loyd and Claude Willis;  Sisters, Lorene Abernathy, Flora Leonard, and Pauline Hinson;  Grandson, Bryant Rogers; Son-in-law, Richard Spears.  Mr. Willis was the owner of Willis Motor Co. for 20 years, City Councilman for 4 years, Vice Mayor for 12 years and Mayor for 12 years.   Mr. Willis was also a Real Estate Entrepreneur.

Wanda Fay Witherington, age 50, born July 7, 1953 in Hohenwald, TN, died March 25, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, March 29, 2004 at 1:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Bill Webb.  Burial will take place March 29, 2004 in the Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Saturday, March 27, 2004 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and Sunday, March 28, 2004 from 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM.  Survivors include her mother, Mildred Hudgins (Rodgers);  brothers, Charles and Gary Hudgins;  sisters, Shirley Lay, Robin Carroll, and Florine McKamie;  companion, Jeff Armstrong;  beloved pet, Bud;  Preceded in death by her father, James Brown, brothers, Larry and Jerry Rodgers, and sister, Lorene Wix

Buddy Eugene Wix, age 64, of Hohenwald, died Friday, February 6, 2004, at Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center in Crestview, Florida. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, February 9, 2004, at 1:00 PM in the Napier Cemetery.   Bill Webb will officiate.   Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Wix of Florala, AL, two daughters Melissa Coubert of Birmingham, AL and Terri Hunter of Pueblo, Co. Also a brother Houston Wix of Pena, IL and a sister Flora Jean Gray of Hohenwald. Four Grandchildren.   Mr. Wix was the son of the late Earlie and Ruth Massey Wix.   He was born September 28,1939 in Lawrence County. He was employed with the Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve.

Bertis Leon "Bud" Yates,  age 86, born August 17, 1917, Cullman, AL, died August 15, 2004 at McKendree Healthcare, Nashville, TN.  The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, August 17, 2004 at 11:00 AM.  The officiating clergy will be Bill Webb.  Burial will take place August 17, 2004 in the Hensley Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Monday, August 16, 2004 at 4:30 PM.  Survivors include sons, Leon  and Kerry Yates;  Daughters, Joyce Yates, Darlene McKnight, & Linda Johnson; 9 Grandchildren;  20 Great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents, Joel King and Eliza (Powell) Yates;  wife, Clara (Turnbow) Yates.
