TN; Connie Mathis, Daughter, Waynesboro, TN; Dona Hayes, Sister,
Linden, TN; Betty LeMay, Sister, Smyrna, TN; Roxie Kelley, Half
Sister, Gallatin, TN; 12 Grandchildren, 4 Great-grandchildren. Mr.
Adkins was born January 24, 1950 in Memphis TN. He is preceded in death by
Ollie Adkins, Father and Eula Mae Dabbs Adkins , Mother. He was self-employed
mechanic.

Lee Ashley, age 54, of Hohenwald died Wednesday, February 11, 2004.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, February 15, 2004 at 2:00 PM
at McDonald Funeral Home. Richard Tate will officiate. Mr. Ashley is
survived by his wife Donna Lynn Ashley, three sons David Robison, Zachary Keith
Ashley, and Joshua Gabriel Ashley all of Hohenwald. Two daughters Rikki Rebecca
Carroll of Columbia and Adrian Erin Keltner of Hohenwald. His mother Ruth
McMorris Ashley of Hohenwald, three brothers Michael Wayne Ashley, Mark Alan
Ashley and Steven Kelly Ashley all of Hohenwald. One sister Amy Ruth Maki of
Memphis and one grandchild William Grant Carroll of Columbia. Mr.
Ashley was born September 22, 1944 in Hohenwald, TN. He is preceded in death by his
father Audrey Gerald Ashley. He was self-employed.
Estlee Barber, age 85, of Hohenwald, died Thursday, January
8, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted
Saturday, January 10, 2004, 1:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Artie
Collins, minister at the Springer Church of Christ will offciciate. Burial will
follow in the Swiss Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Leonard
Barber of Hohenwald, a step-daughter, Loudean Hickerson of Chesterfield, one
brother, Wylie Sharp of Mason and a sister Mary Holder of Waynesboro. Also nine
grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Barber, born
August 26, 1918 in Perry Co., was the daughter of the late John Willis and
Mattie Ann Hickerson Sharp. She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Barber
and a son Willard Barber. She was a employee of Henry I. Seigel until
retirement.

Chester Arthur Beckett,
better known as "Chet", died Wednesday [18 February 2004] at Maury Regional
Hospital in Columbia. He was 65. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday,
February 20, 2004, at 1:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Sam
Livingston, Pastor of Highland Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial is to
follow in the Downey Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Cherry L.
Brown Beckett, three daughters Vickie Whitwell and Jessica Bain of Hohenwald,
and Melissa Clayton of Hopkinsville, KY. Also two brothers Robert
Beckett of Elyria, OH, and Daniel Beckett of Brunswick, OH. Eight
grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Beckett was born April
14, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio. His parents were the late Daniel Vale
and Vera Elizabeth Roose Beckett. He was a retired Air Traffic Controller for
the Federal Aviation Agency. He served in the United States Air Force.

Floyd will officiate. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Justin D. and Tony Cotham of Hohenwald, and Terry
W. Cotham of Lawrenceburg. One brother Elvin Cotham of Portland, two sisters
Nola Vaughn of Wrigley and Maybelle Cotham of Hohenwald. Also eight
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Cotham was born
August 13, 1930. He was the son of the late Will J. and Estalee Skelton Cotham.
He was a retired residental carpenter.

great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mr. Fuhrman was
born July 26, 1930 in Detroit, [Wayne County], Michigan. He was the son of the
late Robert M. Fuhrman Sr. and Margaret Sullivan Fuhrman. He is also preceded in
death by his first wife Nancy Fuhrman and his second wife Wilton Fuhrman. At the
time of his retirement he was a employee with the State of Tennessee Department
of Corrections. He was employed at the Middle Tennessee Correction Center. He
was a Veteran of the United States Marines.

December 9, 1929 in San Francisco, CA. She was the daughter of the late Earl

grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. McCann was born
April 18, 1936 in Hohenwald. He was the son of the late Buford and Camilla
Stutts McCann. He was an employee of the Jefferson Smurfitt Corp. in Humboldt.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Other than his
parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas McCann.

age 83, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at Maury Regional

Sarah Ann Stinson, age 74, born December 15, 1929 in Gordonsburg,
TN, died October 21, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN. The
funeral will be held at: Graveside, October 24, 2004 at 2:00 PM. The
officiating clergy will be Dan Butler. Burial will take place October 24,
2004 in the Palestine Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN. Visitation will be Sunday,

age 82, of Summertown, TN, died May 31, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital,
Columbia, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 5:00 PM.

Mac Arthur Talley,
age 52, born May 21, 1952, Lewis Co., TN, died August 19, 2004 at his residence
in Hohenwald, TN. The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc,
August 21, 2004 at 2:00 PM. The officiating clergy will be Johnny Clayton.
Burial will take place August 21, 2004 in the Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.

Jimmy Dwight Tanner,
age 54, of Hohenwald, died Friday, February 27, 2004. Funeral
services will be conducted Sunday, February 29, 2004, 2:00 PM in the chapel of
McDonald Funeral Home. Bill and Marcus Webb will officiate. Burial
is in the Loveless Cemetery. Survivors include two brothers, Jack
and Larry Tanner of Hohenwald. One sister, Carolyn Bobo of
Hohenwald. Mr. Tanner was born October 20, 1949 in Hohenwald. He is
the son of the late Jesse David and Eloise Webb Tanner. He was an employee of
the City of Hohenwald and worked with water treatment services.
Judith Faye Tanner,
51, of Hohenwald, died Saturday, January 17, 2004, at St.Thomas Hospital in
Nashville. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, January 19, 2004, at
2:00 PM, in the Loveless Cemetery. Perry Tuttle will officiate.
Survivors include a sister, Suzanne Brewer, of Hohenwald.
Miss Tanner was born December 21, 1952 in Michigan. She was the daughter of the
late Robert Elvis and Betty Lou Pace Tanner.
Ada Estelle Tharp,
age 99, died June 13, 2004 at Lewis County Manor, Hohenwald, TN.
Visitation will be 5:30 PM on Monday, June 14, 2004 at the funeral home and from
10:00 AM on Tuesday until service time at First United Pentecostal Church.
The funeral will be held at: First Pentecostal Church, June 15, 2004 at 2:00 PM.
The officiating clergy will be David Jackson and Chip Hunter. Burial
will take place June 15, 2004 in the Dabbs Cemetery in Hohenwald. TN. Mrs.

age 84, December 10, 1919, Hohenwald, TN, died August 9, 2004 at St. Thomas

Mamie Othel Tharp,
age 90, of Hohenwald, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital
in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 2, 2004 at 1:00
PM in the funeral home chapel. Jack Tharp and David Jackson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery. Survivors include four sons,
George L. Tharp of Pinckneyville, IL,, J.W. Tharp of Murray KY, James David
Tharp of Minooka IL,, and Thomas Tharp, Jr. of Alexis, NC, three daughters,
Virginia Romain of Paducah, KY, Mary McElhone of Hohenwald and Rachel Graham of
Tulsa, OK. Also one brother, Jessie Shanes of Hohenwald, twenty two
grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great
grandchildren. Mrs. Tharp was born December 28, 1913 at Only,
TN. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma Hill Shanes.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lester Tharp, and two sisters,
Frances Yates and Nell Brown along with her parents. She was a
homemaker.
Dorothy Mae Turnbow,
age 75, born, September 30, 1928 in Hohenwald, TN, died, September 15, 2004 at
Perry Community Hospital, Linden, TN. The funeral will be held at:

LaNeta Nicole Turnbow,
age 41, of Hohenwald, died Sunday, January 11, 2004, from injuries sustained in
an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 13,

will follow in the Loveless Cemetery. Survivors include her son

GA. Ms. Turnbow was born October 4, 2004. She was preceded in death
by her mother LaNiIta Jean Powell Turnbow. She was a convenience store clerk.

age 90, born February 12, 1914 in Hohenwald, TN, July 9, 2004 at Maury Regional
Hospital, Columbia, TN. The funeral will be held at: Graveside, July 11,

Burial will take place July 11, 2004 in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens,

Webb will officiate. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Wix of
Florala, AL, two daughters Melissa Coubert of Birmingham, AL and Terri Hunter of
Pueblo, Co. Also a brother Houston Wix of Pena, IL and a sister Flora Jean Gray
of Hohenwald. Four Grandchildren. Mr. Wix was the son of the late
Earlie and Ruth Massey Wix. He was born September 28,1939 in
Lawrence County. He was employed with the Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve.
