William V. Glass lived in Lawrence County. Two of his children
married into the Coffman family in the same county. Both of these
children came to Texas. I would be interested to know where William
V. Glass came from into the County and who his parents were. Does
the V. stand for Van, as some as suggested. On another query board
there are Glasses that marry Vincent's. Is this one of them?

1839; in Fannin Co., Texas in 1850-1856.
In Lawrence Co TN, 1822 - William B.D. McCONNELL married Nancy
GARRETT.
In Lawrence Co TN, 1829 - William B.D. McCONNELL witnessed marriage
bond of Reuben BROWN and Elizabeth McCONNELL. Her relation to William
B.D. McCONNELL is not known.
In 1839 - Wm. B.D. McCONNELL arrives Republic of Texas with 640 ac
grant in San Augustine Co., TX.
In 1841 - Ruben BROWN and wife Elizabeth McCONNELL BROWN arrive in
Fannin County Texas.
In 1842 - William B.D. McCONNELL files for divorce from Nancy GARRETT
in Fannin County Texas.
In 1845 - Wm. B.D. McCONNELL signs affidavit for Reuben BROWN in
Fannin Co, TX.
In 1856 - Wm. B.D. McCONNELL buys land adjacent to Reuben BROWN in

Am trying to find info on Lizzie Burlison and TJ Burnes who were
married in April 1900 at Lawrence County. In 1898 there was a Sarah
Lizzie Bell that may have been married to Dossie Burlison, but
research on this is inconclusive. A marriage certificate was issued,
but may have not been used. Two years later in April 1900, a Lizzie
Burlison married a TJ Burnes. Am trying to determine if Sarah Lizzie
Bell Burlison and Lizzie Burlison Burnes are the same individual.
Sarah Lizzie Bell's family lived in Lawrence, Lewis, and Maury

Mary Eleanor WILLIAMS and William Harrison REEVES are my

from Maryland to Kentucky to LAWERENCE CO, TN. I descend from son
Moses TRACY. There was a son Tannahill TRACY, and daughters Rebecca

Looking for info and a connection between the GREEN and PRICE
families in Lawrence Co, TN.
Daniel Price Green b 1830-1840. Married Virginia/Jennie MORRIS b
1840ish. Both possibly from Lawrence Co, originally.
Daniel and Jennie had three sons, Sterling Price, George F. and
Charles W Green. All three probably born in Texas.
Obviously, the name of Price was important to this family, so we feel
there has to be a connection, possibly in the generation before
Daniel.

My maternal grandmother's name was Catherine SCHADE, born in 1895.
Her parents were Charles Clemens SCHADE and Anne (WARNER) SCHADE.
Charles Clemens SCHADE was a judge in Lawrence County somewhere
around the 1920's or 1930's. He is listed in a book of Prominent
Tennesseans. His parents were John and Christine (Zeigler) SCHADE.
John's father was George SCHADE. That's all I know. Can anyone help
me fill in some of the holes? Thanks!

I am looking for any information regarding the MOON or MULLINS family

great grandmother was born Polly Jane Moon or Mullins in Louisa. Her

I am looking for the ancestors of Peter H. Montgomery. According to
his death certificate and his military records he was born
July 29, 1834 in Lawrence Co., TN. The census records of later years
indicate that his father was born in Tennessee and that
his mother was born in Georgia; however, there is also an indication
that his mother was born in North Carolina and Tennesse.
Peter married Catherine McBee in Polk Co., MO on November 5, 1857.
Peter moved to Newton Co., MO in the mid 1860's
Thomas Montgomery, born 1790-1800, died about 1840 in Lawrence Co.,
Tn. sp. Elizabeth ?, born about 1790, I believe she died in Green
County, Missouri. She is in the 1860 Greene County Census.
Children:
1. David J. Montgomery, born 1815-1820 married Martha McHughs Aug 23,
1840 in Lawrence Co., TN
2. William C. Montgomery, born 1815-1820, married Susannah Cook Sep

Looking for descendants of and ancestral info on Sarah "Lizzie" BELL.
I do not know her married name. She would have been born about 1880,
was the daughter of William Joseph Bell and Mary F. Massey, and was
probably born in Maury or Lawrence County. Her brothers were James
Minor Bell and Buford Bell. She probably died after 1950, and also
may have lived subsequently in Davidson County. She is my great
Aunt. Any info & help would be greatly appreciated.

Trying to locate Hosea BELEW and his family in the 1840 census, he
may have been living under someone eles household at this time. He

My grandmother, Mabel Pearl ADKISSON was born May 8,1895 in Wayland
Springs,Lawrence Co, Tn. She died Oct 12 1991 in Tucson,Pima,Az. She
was the d/o of William Jonas ADKISSON( b. Feb 2 1855 in Wayland
Springs and d.Dec 18,1940)and Sarah Jane(Jamie) WILLIS(b.Nov 10, 1860
in Lawrence Co. Tn. and d.Jan 20, 1930). Both parents died in
Savannah,Hardin Tn. William and Jamie ADKISSON were married on Aug
7, 1879. I assume in Lawrence Co? If my only source is correct, Mabel
ADKISSON'S siblings were Virgil S., Hawtie M., Ida B., James
Walter,and Edgar Trew ADKISSON, all born between 1880 and 1889. It
appears that all or most of her family moved to Hardin county
sometime after her birth. Mabel ADKISSON married Judge E Everett
MABRY in Hardin Co Tn. They had one child, Raymond Earnest MABRY. I
would appreciate a 1980 and/or 1990 Lawrence County Census lookup and
any information anyone might have in regard to my grandmother and her

My gg grandfather, George W. RICKMAN was born in TN in 1813. I
believe this family may have orignated in SC and then into Lawrence
County, TN and nearby counties. George W. Rickman first married
Sarah E. Irvine in Alabama in 1835 and Mary Ann Roberson/Robinson in
AL in 1853. I would be interested in communicating with others
researching the Rickman line with hopes of finding George's
connection.

Tenn. He married Nancy Williamson, she died around 1868. He was in
the Nashville volunteers in 1862-1865. He also married Mary Ann
Rathbone. She died in 1928 in Lawrence Co. Robert had a son named
William K. Brown who married Mercey Price Brown. They had a son named
William Issac Brown and Louise Hall Brown, they lived in Lawrence
