I am trying to locate information on Silas Moore who married Morning
Moon and had a daughter named Emily Moore (later Quaid) sometime
around 1818. I am using this service because I saw a Silas Moore
listed. In my records in 1901 Silas was already deceased and his
daughter was applying for identification as a Mississippi Choctaw.

Looking for information on Lorene Elizabeth SPEARS. We think she was
born in Tennessee in 1901 to William and Zella (McDOUGAL) Spears.
Zella died in childbirth around 1908 somewhere in Lawrence Co.
Lorene "Lizzie" was sent to live with William E. and Judith (ROBERTS)
Riddle in Canute, Oklahoma. Judith Riddle (we think) was the
daughter of Thomas Jacob and Martha Roberts of Lawrence Co. TN. We
think the Riddle/Roberts were somehow contacted to the Spears or
McDougals and that is why she was sent to live with them in Oklahoma
when both parents died. Any information on these families would be

My grandparents, John and Swana Creel, lived in Ethridge around
1919-1923. My grandmother witnessed a murder by a man whose last name
was Robinson around 1922. She was threatened that if she
testified that she would be killed. After testifying,
she and her family had to move for her safety and continued to move
for the next twenty years. They lived in Milton, FL last and it was
there that they were notified that the man had died. They said she
said she was free at last and would not have to move again and they
didn't. I would like to know the details concerning this case as I
just found out the reason for them moving so much. I'm sure it would
have been in the paper, but I live too far away to research it and
the paper is not on line. I think they might have lived close to the
New Hope Community. If you can cast a light on any of this I will be
grateful. I know its not the usual genealogy, but its something that
had a great effect on my father's family and I would like to know
about it.

unknown and died in 1906 in Lauderdale County, AL. He married twice
- once to Sarah E. Kellam in 1858 and to Sarah E. Forsyth - 1863 -
both times in Maury County, TN. He also enlisted in Maury County. I
believe him to be descended from the Columbia Cabler Family, perhaps
from one of the lesser-known children, as I have remained unable
trace him to his parents. I also believe that these two wives may
have been the same person. Perhaps she remarried briefly during the
war, believing him to be dead.?? He had a son by one of these women

My great-uncle "Billy", William Martin, PRICE lived near and owned
land just south of Loretto, TN. He also had a small parcell of land
just south of the TN/AL border in Lauderdale Co. AL.
His picture was on the front page of The Democr-, the Lawrenceburg,
TN paper, on May 21, 1954, in clelbration of his 100th birthday.
Under the picture it is stated "his grandparents came from Ireland".
They were Martin A. and Rachiel PRICE. It also states that "He was
born and has lived within five miles of his preaent home in this
county, near Loretto".
I am trying to find information concerning Martin A. PRICE. Rachiel
was living in Lauderdale Co., AL at the time of the 1860 Census,

I am searching for information on George William Paine/Payne and
Sarah E. Wa(l)ters. According to their gravemarkers, he was born
in 1855 and she in 1863. It is, at this point, unknown exactly where
they came from before living in Lawrence Co., TN..
They were residing in the 15th district, which I assume is the West
Point area. I have their Death Certificates, but they do not hold the
answers to any questions. It's almost as if they had something to
hide or were very illiterate.
There is a Sarah E. Waters in Dist 15, Lawrence county in 1880.
Daughter of John & Jane Waters, age 23 born GA. Father born Arkansas,
mother born Tennessee. But this is not the right age to be Sarah.
In that same district is a George Paine age 28 but his
birthplaces say England. He's the only Payne/Paine in Lawrence county
in 1880. And, this is not right for his age either.
In 1880 he would have been 25 and she 17, IF the dates on the
gravemarkers are correct.

I descend from Wm.P Allen who stow away on the wagon train of Capt.
Carroll ( I think Carroll might be N.A. Carroll). N. A. Carroll came
to Texas in 1872. Wm. Allen came to Tx. same year. My gg
grandfather. William Pirtle Allen told family he was From Love Co.,
TN.. There is and never was a Love Co., TN.
At 12-13 yers of age, he should have known his parents/siblings
names. But, he never gave that information. Maybe suspect?
Both, Newton Addison Carrell, and Wm. Pirtle Allen were in Ellis Co,
and Dallas Co., TX.
I am trying to find his Allen family in TN., which is quite
difficult. I suspect he is from Lawrence Co., TN. I KNOW that Newton
Addison Carrell is. Wm. P. Allen was supposed to have lived with Capt. N.A. Carrell for a
while after coming to Tx.. William Pirtle named his son, William
Addison Allen. I suspect after himself (William ) and Capt. Carrell.(Addison)
He should be listed in 1860, and 1870 cenus, as about 2 & 12 years of
age. Dissappearing in following census.
