Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Dec. 26-- (Special) The death of G.L. Brian, the eldest son of Mr. And Mrs. W.L. Brian of the Tenth District of this county, occurred at Louisville, Ky. His remains were sent to Ethridge for his interment in the John Lay cemetery. He is survived by his wife, who was formerly, Miss Margaret Hayes of the county; his parents; three sisters: Mrs. Claud Hills, Mrs. Bertie Dodd and Mrs. Etta Golden, and three brothers: Floyd, Loyd and Warren Brian, also by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Gillimore of the Tenth District.

Brian, Mrs. I. M. (Myrtle Alice Johnson) Brian November 27, 1960
Mrs. I. M. Brian Dies At Local Hospital After Long Illness
Funeral services were held on Monday of this week for Mrs. I. M. Brian, 81 of Ethridge, who died at Lawrence County Hospital after an extended illness. The last rites were conducted at the First Methodist church in Ethridge and burial was in the ethridge cemetery, with Lay Funeral Service having charge of the arrangements.
She was survived by three sons, Murrell and Kenneth Brian, both of Ethridge, and Orville Brian of Nashville; five daughters, Mrs. Bess Massey and Mrs. Lillian Locke, of Jacksonville Fla.; Mrs. Margaret Crabb, Nashville and Mrs. Floy Jones of Ethridge and Mrs. Lula Lindsey of Nashville; two brothers, Sidney Johnson of Hohenwald and Frank Johnson of Birmingham, Ala.; 26 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

Isaac M. (Mose) Brian Dies at Ethridge After a Long Period of Illness
Isaac Mitchell Brian, 78, died Wednesday night about 10:15 at his home in ethridge after a long illness. The body will be at the residence in Ethridge until Friday afternoon when funeral services will be held at 2:30 at the Ethridge Methodist church with Rev. Ernest Blessing and the Rev. Ashley Pogue officiating. Burial will be in the Ethridge Cemetery with Lay Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brian, a retired merchant, was a native of Ohio. He came to Lawrence County when only five years of age with his parents, late I. W. and Violet Crawford Brian. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Johnson Brian and eight children: three sons, Murrell and Kenneth Brian both of Ethridge and Orville Brian of Nashville; five daughters, Mrs. Lula Lindsey of Waynesboro; Mrs. Bess Massey and Mrs. Lillian Locke of Jacksonville; Mrs. Floy Jones of Ethridge, and Mrs. Marguerite Crabb of Nashville. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four brothers, W. L. Brian of Ethridge, E. S. and R.A. Brian both of Nashville, and Hamer Brian of Kansas and one sister, Mrs. Della Pulliam of California.

Brian, Rueben A. Jr.  June 14, 1945
Rueben A. Brian  Jr., 25, son of Mr. & Mrs. R. A. Brian Sr., 216 East Radnor Street, Nashville, TN died about 8 o'clock last night as the result of a heart attack suffered while in swimming pool at Marietta., GA.
The body was scheduled to arrive at Union Station at 5:15 o'clock this afternoon and be conveyed to the M. M. Booth Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at the Woodbine Methodist Church Monday morning of which he was a member. The Rev. W. T. Steele will officiate, and burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Brian had been employed as a foreman for the Bell Aircraft Corporation at Marietta for the past two months. He perviously had been employed by the Bitchell McComb Aircraft Corporation in Birmingham, Ala. for two and a half years. Before that Mr. Brian worked at Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation  for two years.
A native of Nashville, he was a graduate of Central High School. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister Mrs. C.B. Moseley, of Nashville. Aunts and Uncles of Ethridge, Tn.  Pallbearers: A. P. McMillian, Bert Elmore, Houston Ferrell and Oscar Fox.

Brian, Donald C., September 18, 1944
Sgt. Donald C. Brian Missing in Holland T/Sgt. Donald C. Brian, 20, a flight engineer and top turret gunner on a B-24 Liberator bomber, has been reported missing in action over Holland since September 18, according to a message from the war department received recently by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Brian, 216 East Radnor Street. A graduate of Central High School, Sergeant Brian was a former news carrier for The Tennessean. Prior to entering the service in March, 1943, he was employed by Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation. Overseas for the past several months he was a veteran of 26 missions and has been awarded the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters.

Pulaski Citizen March 22, 1933
JAMES HENRY BIRDSONG
An old and respected citizen of Lawrenceburg passed away March 13, 1933.  He was born in Giles County, Tenn. November 3, 1849.  He had lived in Lawrenceburg some 40 years.  He was well known here and leaves many good friends.
He was married to Miss Martha Knight, March 22, 1874 and to this union was born five children, of which, four survive, one having died in infancy.  His good wife preceded him to the grave November 8th, 1915. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Maud Bills, Mrs. Lenora Brown, and Mrs Bessie Brown, one son, Craig, all of this city and all with him when he passed away.----Lawrenceburg News.

MARTHA A. BIRDSONG
Mrs. Martha A. Birdsong, wife of J. A. Birdsong, died at her home in South  Lawrenceburg Monday afternoon, after a prolonged illness. She was near 63 years of age, a devout and consecrated member of the Christian Church and whose life was one of love and devotion to those about her. Four children, three girls and one son besides the husband are left to mourn her death. Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church Tuesday at 2 o'clock by Elder T. C. King. Interment at Mimosa Cemetery.

MRS. LENORA BROWN DIES AT AGE OF 73 AT LAWRENCE HOSPITAL
Mrs. Lenora Birdsong Brown, age 73, died Tuesday morning at the Lawrence County Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage; however, she had been in failing health for a number of years.
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 3 o'clock at Freemon Funeral Home with E. O. Coffman officiating and burial will be in Mimosa Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown, a daughter of the late J. H. Birdsong, and the widow of H. E. (Pick) Brown, former city policeman, is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Freemon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LOCAL MAN DIED AT HOME IN CITY
H. E. BROWN
H. E. BROWN is Called by Death Last Thursday Night After Illness of Some Time.
Henry E. (Pick) Brown, died Thursday night of last week, at his home on Spring Street in this city, after an illness of several months.  Funeral services were held at the home Friday, with Elder T. C. King conducting the services.  Burial was in Mimosa Cemetery with Freemon and Company in charge.  Pallbearers were Swain Ellingson, W. H. McMasters, D. E. Clayton, Herman Brink, W. E. Bennett and Neal Morrow.
Surviving besides his widow, are two brothers, Jas. C. and Tom Brown, both of Lawrenceburg, and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Clemmens, of Tulsa, Okla.
Mr. Brown was well known in Lawrence County, where he had lived for many years.  He served as City Policeman in Lawrenceburg for some time.  The Democrat joins with a host of friends in extending sincere sympathy to the relatives.

Funeral Services Conducted On Wednesday Afternoon For Mrs. Bessie Brown
MRS. BESSIE BIRDSONG BROWN
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon of this week for Mrs. Bessie Brown, 62, who died at her home following a long illness.  Edler E. O. Coffman said the last rites at the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Major and Mrs. Jim Birdsong.  She is survived by her husband, Gaston Brown, a foster son and one sister, Mrs. Lenora Brown of this city; a brother, Craig Birdsong, of Washington.
Interment was in Mimosa Cemetery, with Freemon and Company in charge of arrangements.

GASTON BROWN SUFFERS STROKE
Attack Occurs Suddenly; Was Apparently In Good Health Until Taken ILL
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, June 1, at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ for Gaston Brown, age 77, who died Friday night, May 30, after an illness of almost a week. The last rites were said by Sherman Kelly and W. W. Layton, ministers of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Brown, a long-time resident of this county, was a painter by trade for many years. His wife died last September.
He is survived by one adopted son, Herman Brown of Fort Worth, Texas; and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Kobeck of Columbia, Tenn., Mrs. Alex Lutz of Greeneville, Texas and Mrs. W. H. Rutherford, of Campbell, Texas; also several nieces and nephews.

WILLAIM CRAIG BIRDSONG
HEART ATTACK IS FATAL;CRAIG BIRDSONG, LOCAL CITIZEN DIES SUDDENLY
Funeral services for W. Craig Birdsong, 64, who passed away Sunday night, October 26, at his home in this city, were held on Monday at 3 p.m., with burial in Mimosa Cemetery.
He was a member of the downtown Church of Christ since early childhood. Survivors include besides his wife, Mrs. Grace Birdsong, a sister, Mrs. H. E. Brown, and a wide circle of friends.
Pallbearers were Hardy Walker, Neil Hunt, O. F. Cocke, Sam Woodard, and Wilburn and Kenneth Smith.
Freemon and Company were in charge of arrangements.
Craig was a son of deceased "Major" Birdsong, who in the old days once was the principal supplier of drinking water for the town, from the Old Spout Spring.
