Alsup, Howard - November 21, 1983. Survived by wife, Mrs. Ruth Alsup; son,
Charles Alsup; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Smith, Mrs. Beth Agee; mother, Mrs.
Maude Alsup; two sisters, Ruth Alsup and Elizabeth Crews; three brothers,
Turner, Bruce and Thomas Alsup; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Remains are at Hermitage Funeral Home, where services will be conducted 1:00
p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, by Bro. John Humphreys and Dr. Walter Allen. Honorary
pallbearers: Dupont Pensioners Club. Active pallbearers: Earl Russ, Jr., O.L.
Mires, Joe Smith, James Fann, Joe Martin, and Raymond Behel. Interment
Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Thelma Alsup, August 1991
Mrs. Thelma Alsup, 50, of Westpoint, Tennessee,
passed away Saturday, August 24, 1991, en route to Crockett Hospital,
Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, following a sudden illness.
She was a native of Lawrence County, Tennessee; a
homemaker and a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She was the daughter
of the late George and Tinnie Roberts Byrd.
The funeral service was held on Monday, August 26, 1991,
at 1 p.m. at Loretto Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob McIlwain officiating.
Burial followed in the Westpoint Cemetery, located in Lawrence County,
Tennessee, with Loretto Memorial Chapel in charge of all arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Alsup, Jr. [should
be Sr.], Westpoint, Tennessee; three sons, Thomas Alsup, Jr., Loretto,
Tennessee; Allen Alsup, Loretto, Tennessee; Michael Alsup, Lawrenceburg,
Tennessee; three daughters, Ann Alsup, Gail Alsup, Lisa Alsup, all of Westpoint,
Tennessee; four brothers, W.C. Byrd, Ray Byrd, John Byrd, James T. Byrd, all of
Westpoint; two sisters, Gean Franklin, Artie Byrd, both of Westpoint; six
grandchildren.
