TVA #30 (360411N 0875715W)
This is the family cemetery of John Monroe Marberry, Sr. (1823-1891) who married Hester Gould Morrisset on December 30, 1869 in Humphreys Co., TN. John M. Marberry and his brother Francis Marion Marberry (1836-abt. 1905) purchased the lands on the north-east corner of the Tennessee River and Trace Creek, overlooking Old Johnsonville. John and Francis divided these lands in 1875 with John taking the land east of the county road that ran north out of Old Johnsonville and Francis taking the lands west of the road and adjoining the Tennessee River.
There is also a Marberry family cemetery on the lands that Francis Marion Marberry owned (TVA #44). This cemetery has only one stone grave marker, there are a few small metal markers with a glass covering a paper, but none are legible. The sunken ground of the graves is the only way to see most of the graves. I have relied on the TVA record and have added notes on relationship and dates of those interred. This information was probably given to the TVA by Hester Gould Morrisset Marberry (1854 - 1938) and/or her daughter, Jennie Napier Marberry Nichols (1881 - 1957).
The Tennessee Valley Authority records for these cemeteries are listed in BOLD UNDERLINED ITALIC CAPITALS and my additions are in lower case.
