The third Marberry Cemetery in Old Johnsonville area was not mapped by TVA because there was no danger of flooding in that area. However, it is shown on a June, 1938 TVA Land Acquisition Map as being on property owned by A. T. Manor. This map shows the cemetery as Marberry Cemetery, 0.05 acres, Public and containing 21 graves plus or minus.
This Marberry Cemetery (360423N 0875510W) is located on Little Dry Creek on the road leading to Consolidated Aluminum (Scepter Road) at Masterson Gas Co. Road. There are no grave markers in this cemetery. This was the property that Hiram J. Marberry owned in the mid and late 1800's.
Hiram J. Marberry was born May 19, 1816 and died after 1880 in Humphreys County, TN. Hiram J. Marberry is one of the graves in this cemetery, the others are probably relatives or neighbors of Hiram J. Marberry's family. Hiram was married first to Tempy and secondly to Louraney (Laura) and from the census records it appears that he had sixteen children between these two marriages.
