Looking for information on John B. WALLACE (1816-1879) and wife Susan
ROWARK (1814-1854), and their son John Melton WALLACE (1847-1914) and
his wife Sarah Matilda ODELL (1856-1911). Feel that George P. WALLACE
listed on the 1830 Henderson Co. census may be John B.'s father. John
B. also had sister Nancy WALLACE who married Burk PRIDDY.

Elizabeth (Jones) AUSTIN. dob-11-13-1894, dod 11-25-1981. I know her
mother's name was Elizabeth Selina BARRETT, and her father's name was

I am searching for any information on Mary Ann RONEY who may have
been the first wife of Zenus MORRIS. She was probably born in
Henderson or Carroll Co., TN around 1815-1820. She and Zenus had five
children: Margaret, Nancy, Charles Henry, Elizabeth Jane and Mary. I

I am studying the HART Family from Decatur / Henderson Co, Tn. I have
found in the 1860 census on Henderson Co, Tn on page 193 and it says
Tobasco town?? Tn on the bottom of page is a S. A. HART 26 Tn Tobasco
on this next page 194 list her children, same household but in Scotts
Hill, TN W.A. HART 4 m Tn, and D.A. HART 1 m Tn. I don't find a
Tobasco, Tn so I figure it must be all in Scotts Hill and the wrong
word was written down by mistake. If anyone can help me with this it

were from Scotts Hill, Henderson, Tennessee.
I am also wondering if maybe Angelina is the 1st wife,
2nd wife, or his oldest daughter.

to James Douglass... Father is Terisha Johnson of Mecklenburg in the
Rev. War. in 1790 on Nut Bush Creek of Warren Co. NC:::Just across
the Line::: Per Mecklenburg Co. Query Posted by Roberta using the
source Early Settlers of Mecklenburg Co. Va.
John Johnson has the most references of all the Johnsons. He is
listed in Patent Book 34 Page 384 for 404 Acres on Nutbush Creek
adjoining John Robinson, on JULY 15, 1760::: Roberta advised this is
the same John Johnson that appears with Christopher Johnson on the
1752 Tithe List of Luneburg Co. Va. In 1764 John Johnson is listed
with 180 acres tithable list for 1764 that is separate from the other
John Johnson on this list for that year for 200 acres. She isn't clear
if this is the same John Johnson or another.

My husband's family were MORGAN on his mother's side. We are back to
William Riley MORGAN who was born October 1, 1867 in Henderson
County, TN. This info came from his death certificate. William
Riley married Rosa L. TIDWELL who was the daughter of Thomas TIDWELL
and Melvina POLLOCK. We are at a brick wall with who William Riley's

Both families were there in 1830's. Thomas Collins HODGES was b.
April 21, 1799 in Wilson Co. He was married to Elizabeth PUCKETT in
1820. Their son, John Harvey, was married to Lucinda ARNOLD (daug.
of James & Jane ARNOLD)in 1851. they moved to Ark. then on to Texas.

Unable to find the parents/appropriate TEAGUE family of my
gggrandfather, Adam Reeves TEAGUE born TN 1822 (m. Mary SHOPTAUGH
1847 IL) - and where/if my TEAGUE line connects to the REEVES family
(or if they just liked the name). My ggrandfather was also named Adam
Reeves TEAGUE so there must have been a reason. No other Adam or

Looking for information on the family of Alcy and Martha RUSH from

Need info. on Clearancy GUINN, age 14, listed in HH 299, 1860
Henderson Co TN census; believe she is the "Clarissa" GUINN who about
1862 married my g-grandfather Henry T[homas?] WARD, 16, listed across
the line in Madison Co HH 1796/1830 in same census. Haven't located
marriage record. The household Clearancy (believed about half
Cherokee) is in appears to consist of two adult females (sisters?),
each with children with different surnames: Clearany Moore, 53, with
son W. V. Huggins, 30, and dau. Madena Moore, 21. And Thany Anderson,
42, with sons Allen Whitwell, 23, J. H. Whitwell,16, and dau.
Clearancy GUINN, 14. Henry and Clearancy had several children before
moving to TX around 1875 and on to OK. Family tradition has children
born around Nashville, but unable to locate the family there or
anywhere during that time. Please e-mail me for more info if you
think you can help with Clearancy's heritage, marriage data, or
family data from 1862 to 1880.

Searching name James Monroe McPeake's (b. 1856) birth mother who was
illegitimate son of Robert Carroll McPeake. In 1860, he was living
in household of John Rhodes. 1880 census he's listed alone in
District 4, Decatur, Tn. Death Certificate shows mother Amelia (no
last name). Can find no Amelia. Is that possibly Camelia ? Rhodes?

Looking for information on a Talbot or Talbert or Tolbert Percy
DALTON. His use name during life was Jack or Percy. He was born in
Henderson, TN. on July 3, 1885 (parents and siblings not known).
However, we have info. that he had a brother named Pleasie Dalton who
died in Virginia sometime prior to 1955. He was a graduate of the
Univ. of Virginia with a degree in law. He went on to play major
league baseball for the Brooklyn and Buffalo, NY teams in 1910, 1913
and 1914. He played professional baseball through at least 1917.
The last record we have of him is living with his wife (Thelma) in
Elk Ridge, MD in 1931 working as an auto salesman. However, their is
information that he was living in Emmitsburg, MD. as late as 1953 as
a traveling minister. He supposedly disappeared from that town and
was never heard from again.
Any information that can be provided on the family would be greatly
appreciated.

Emily. They had 8 Children. This is a list of children as I can best
read them from 1990 Henderson County Tennessee Census: Grover 31 mar
1892, Leo Horace 8 Oct 1894, Willie Mae 1898, Walter 1882, Larcy 1884,
Annie 1886, Minnie 1888, and Rossie 1889. She was widowed by 1990. I
am trying to find information on this unnamed Denton. He would be my
husband's great grandfather. Family folklore says he was killed at a
barrel factory.

I am looking for the parents, (ancestors and where they came from) of
JOHN M ROSS, Nov. 21, 1825 - Feb. 16, 1877; wife MARTHA TIGNOR, Apr.
4, 1837 - June 7, 1877. Both buried on Ross farm near Life community
in Henderson Co TN. Children: Andrew "Jack" Ross- July 15,
1871-October 2, 1935 buried at Middlefork Cemetery-married Julia
Faucett buried at Palestine. Victoria-married Bill Dodds-buried at
Unity. Alice-married Jack? Daws-ran a hotel in Lexington -Buried in
Lexington City Cemetery. Hercules Ponce died at 18 buried at Life w/
Mother and Father. Lucy-married Joe Bass from Cape Gerado Mo.
Sally-Married Charles Dodds Madison County - Brother of Bill Dodds.

Hi, I'm looking for any info or pictures of Jessie, Jane (Jinsey), or
Susan CARTER. I believe they moved from McNairy County TN to
Henderson County TN and then around 1855 moved to Henderson County
TX. Susan married Wesley HARRISON around that same time but he was
from TN also. Wesley and Susan's daughter, Epsey HARRISON later
married Columbus DALTON in Texas in 1881 but he may have been from TN

Looking for any information pertaining to Samuel C. FRASER (or
variant spellings). Moved to TN between 1812 and 1817 (unknown
location). He moved to GA between 1823-1826. He and his wife
Bersheba had one child born in TN - Samuel Carroll FRASER Jr., b.

Searching for information on BROWN's from Henderson County.
Elizabeth BROWN born 1784 in GA, donated land for the Old Hepzibah
Baptist Church. She had children by the name of John D, James,
William, Eliza Brown Beal and Abner S. BROWN. Some of the BROWN's
moved to Arkansas. I am trying to find her maiden name. She was
alive in 1860 living in District 7. I believe she died sometime
after 1860. Any help would be appreciated.

John Bennett JONES died abt 1938 in Tiptonville. He was married to
#1 Elizabeth Selina BARRETT and #2 Mary ARNOLD. John had a brother
named Joe and Jim, a sister named Betty. He and Selina had 3

Can anyone tell me WHO J.G.W. Christenberry listed in the 1860
Henderson, TN census is? He is living next door to J.M. and S.E.
Carter. He is listed as a "gentleman" age 33 in the 1860 census
living with Jesse and Elizabeth Carter. I have seen info stating that
he married a woman with the initials S.E.. I am wondering if it is
the S.E. who lives next door? Is she a sister to John Carter who she
lives with or is she his wife?

I am looking for any info on William H ANDERSON who lived in or near
Henry Co , TN and moved to Panola Co MS. WIlliam was born c1810 in TN
and died c1876 in MS. He married Malinda DOLLAHITE who is also listed
born in TN c1835. Also looking for Martha TAYLOR who was born near
Jackson, TN c 1846. She married John Harvey BRIDGES. Martha's father
may have been Thomas TAYLOR and some family suggests her mother was a
GOOCH.

Friends called Joseph "Lum". He was born abt. 1850 Lula is the

Where can I locate a map of Henderson County, TN that I can pinpoint
the location of my G-Grandfather's property? A deed gives the
location as District 2, Range 3, Section 19. I would like to be able
to also pinpoint the location of the NEBO Cemetery and the NEW BEACH
GROVE Cemetery and be able to see the relationship between the three.
My G-Grandfather has a sister buried in each cemetery.
