Looking for any information on John Mayo. I'm not sure if he was
born in Henderson Cty, TN. But I know one of his daughters was.

I am looking for information on my great, great grandfather Council
HOLMES (1815 - 1875), who apparently settled in Henderson County in
the early 1830's. Council was married to Nancy Jane MANLEY (1815 -
1893), and both were from North Carolina. They are buried at the Old
Bethlehem Church Cemetery west of Lexington near the Madison County
line. I have all of the basic 19th century census data on the
family, but I am trying to determine who Council's parents were and
where exactly they lived in North Carolina. Council and Jane had at
least ten children and lived near a Moses HOLMES and a Jesse HOLMES,
who may have been relatives.

Looking for info on the Hugh WILSON family listed in the 1850 and 1860
Henderson Co. Census. Possibly the Mifflin area that is now listed in
Chester Co.
Hugh WILSON 43 TN, Rebecca 43 TN, Mary Wilson 17 NC, Caroline 15 F
NC., Nelson 14, Joel E 12, Hugh V 9, John 5, Louisa M SHAW 13, and
A??? SHAW 10 TN.
This Caroline WILSON married James Madison CARTER. Any help would be

I'm interested in finding anyone who may have information on Richard
FIELDS. He was born November 6, 1824 in Tennessee. His mother was
Catherine JOHNSTON(?) from North Carolina. He had only one daughter
that married and her name was Lucinda. I've been told that she
married Abner Lawler PHILLIPS but I can find no information on him.
Unknown if he was orginally from Henderson County. Any information
that you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am looking for any available information on Council HOLMES
(1815-1875), who is buried at Bethlehem Cemetery, approximately ten
miles west of Lexington, TN. He apparently immigrated with his wife
Nancy from North Carolina and settled in Henderson County in the
1830s.

old Henderson County school photos. The school is believed to have
been located in or near the Darden community. Please let me know if

Seeking descendants of James K. WHITE, b 1857, d 1933, son of John
Milton WHITE of Hookers Bend Community in Hardin county. James is bur

Hiram RUSSELL b 1794 in N.C. married to Zelphia BROOKS b. 1798 in
N.C. lived in Henderson County on the 1830 census. Had at least one
son born in Henderson Co. Elisha James Russell b 1838, according to
Civil War Pension papers obtained from Little Rock, Ark. This RUSSELL
family was living in Poinsett, Ark on 1850 census.

BARR, BREWER
Looking for descendants of Alexander BARR b. 1785, died in Henderson
Co. Tn. 12-16-1863. His son was Thomas Jackson BARR b. 10 Jan. 1817
in Madison Co. Tn. Also looking for Enoch BREWER b. 1820 in NC, was in
Henderson Co. Tn. in 1860-1870, moved to Dunklin Co. Mo. where he

I am trying to find the parents of : William A. RHODES- b1814 in NC.
Wife was Sara [Mary J] DOUGLAS b1816 in SC. They were married April
26th, 1838 in [MC] county, TN. They had nine kids all born in or

I am searching for any information on a Henry WHALEN. He was born in
the early 1800s, probably 1825-1845. I am not sure what county he
was born in or lived in. He married Lulu, last name unknown, she may
have been American Indian. They had at least one child, Richard
WHALEN who was born February 26, 1854. Richard relocated to Kentucky
but visited his family in Tennessee as late as the 1900s. Richard
married Sarah Ann Wiley and had three sons, Rome, John and Owen
WHALEN. Any information on this family would be appreciated.

I'm the great granddaughter of Hance (1883-1967) & Hettie (1888-1925)
Timberlake buried in the Old Beech River Cemetary. The family resided
(and many still do) in Timberlake (Timberlake Grove), TN. My family,
although they could've passed, identified as black. Researching
family history and looking for the connection (actual name of
person/persons) between the black Timberlakes and white Timberlakes
in the area. I know we're related, but how? Any info, please email
