The picture on the left is of Thomas Dedrick (TD) Brown and his mother Elizabeth F. Robinson Brown. Thomas was born in [what is now] Hamblen County in 1862 and was buried in Collin County, Texas in 1944. Elizabeth was born in Tennessee in about 1833 and died prior to 1922, location unknown. Thomas Dedrick Brown’s father was William Thomas Brown, born in North Carolina in about 1830 and married Elizabeth F. Robinson in Hawkins, TN in 1864.
The picture on the right is of Elijah (Lige) B. Franklin, who was born in [what is now] Hamblen County in 1864 and was buried in Collin County, Texas in 1939. He was married in Hamblen County in 1890. The identity of the person on the right in the picture is not known.
Thomas Dedrick Brown married Mary Elizabeth Jane Franklin in Morristown in 1886. She was born in TN in 1860 and died in Collin County, Texas in 1944. She was the sister of Elijah B. Franklin.
The father of Elijah B. Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Jane Franklin was Jeremiah Bradley Franklin who was born in Virginia in about 1831 and died in Hamblen County in 1875-1877. He married Rebecca Irwin who was born in North Carolina/TN in about 1833. They were married in 1859 in Jefferson County. She later married John S. Robertson in about 1878 and both of them later moved to Collin County, TX.
