Without the information contained in the notebook that was kept by
John Franklin Weeks we Weeks family researchers would know little about Benjamin Weeks and
our Weeks heritage. So many of the early records are missing or incomplete, it is possible without
the Weeks family data that was handed down to us we would have lost our Weeks roots. John
Franklin Weeks, a childless individual, keep a Weeks family notebook, which was handed through
the generations. The following is written in the notebook keep by John Franklin Weeks:
Children of Benjamin Weeks:William md a "Miss Wiggins."; Charley md (1) a "Miss Upton," (2)
Nancy Berryhill;James md Frances Goff; Bathseba md William Matthews Catherine md a
"McCullar, or McClough."; Elizabeth md Aquilla Matthews, Sr.; Mary md Nathaniel Moseley;
Margaret md William Berryhill; and Lelia md Alexander Berryhill. Would like to talk to
anyone who has information about any of the above individuals.

Children of Benjamin Weeks: Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine, Bathseba, and
William Weeks remained in Jefferson Co., GA., while Margaret; Lelia's widow, Alexander;
Charley with his new wife Nancy; and James Weeks all moved with their families to Franklin Co.,
TN., Lelia apparently died and her husband, Alexander, remarried and were possibly children, but
no names are known at this time. Alexander Berryhill formerly resided in Mecklenburg Co., NC,
refugee soldier, afterward removed to Franklin Co., TN., with his third wife Rebecca. He and his
son Alex Berryhill enlisted in the homeguards in the fall of 1814. Alex son of Alexander was
killed Jan 15, 1815 at the famous Battle of New Orleans and is believed to have been married
to a dt of Charles and Miss Upton Weeks. Would like to talk to anyone who has information
about Miss Upton or the one sibling of Michael Weeks Berryhill.

Seeking information on Col. Joseph H. Bradford, born 1800, son of John
Bradford (1771 Burke County, NC - 1852)and Ann Goodwin (1777-1862), grandson of Joseph
Bennett Bradford (1738-1828). Col. Joseph H. Bradford married Maria Catherine Spyker in 1829
in Pleasant Retreat, near Winchester, in Franklin County, Tennessee, according to the
reconstructed marriage records. Soon after the marriage, I believe they moved to Coosa County,
Alabama where Joseph had a mill and cotton factory. They had a daughter, Maria Catherine
Bradford, born 1832, probably in Coosa County, Alabama. After his wife's death, Joseph married
Adeline and had other children. Can anyone help with the Spykers? Any more information on
Joseph H. Bradford?

father was killed in the War of 1812 in Jan of 1815. His mother remarried to a Mr Bridges, he had
no brother and but one sister. (She may have married Thomas Bridges, based on census records,
etc.) These families moved to Madison Co., AL., before 1830, where Michael married Catherine
Broyles in 1839. MW and Catherine Berryhill later moved to MS and then before 1850 to
Oucthia Co., AR with seven other families of Broyles, Weeks and Bridges, then soon Michael and
