I was born in Dickson on 2/1/39. My name at birth was Herbert F. Robinson III. My mother and father were divorced when I was 2 years old with my mother remarrying to Allan Pankau and changing my name to Pankau. We moved to Tullahoma where my step-father was based during WWII. In 1946 we moved to Colesburg where we lived with my mother's father Frederick von Bergen. I went to the second grade in Colesburg in a two room school house that Mr. von Bergen gave to Colesburg. My grandfather also Herbert Robinson lived in Dickson for many years. He died in 1966 and is buried in one of the Dickson cemetaries. My dad is still alive at 87 but is in a nursing home in Detroit. We still have many relatives in the Dickson area but I don't know who they are. I know there were Martin's and Brown's. Anyway, I came across your website and thought I would respond. The information on your site is great and makes me wish I knew more about my family background. Keep up the good work. Larry Pankau COL, USAF, Ret.
