A. Baker a citizen of Humphreys County Tenn, Leonard Harrold, Theny Adcock nee Harrold and Preston Adcock her husband, Henry H. Harrold, George Harrold, Jenny Brazzell nee Harrold, and Earnest Brazzell her husband, Mary Harrold, Jeff Harrold, Henderson Adcox, Florence Brazzell nee Adcox & Albert Brazzell her husband, Della Roberts nee Adcox & Walter Roberts her husband citizens of Dickson County Sally Adcox and Eph Adcox citizens of Humphreys, Defts Complt shows to the court that he and the Defts above named are the only heirs at law of Henderson Baker deceased who died Sept 9 1902 leaving a widow Lucretia
That Mary Harrold & Jeff Harrold Sally Adcox & Eph Adcox are minors under the age of 21 years.
he shows to the court that the said Henderson Baker, dec'd, did(?) seized and possessed of the following described land all in one body or tract but conveyed to him by three different deeds all lying in the first district of said county and bonded and described as follows, On the waters of Piney Beginning on a Blk Oak Henderson Bakers SW corner of his 100 acre tract running North his line 142 poles to 2 Hickorys his NW corner thence West 22 poles to a Dogwood the corner of his 40 acre tract thence South his line passing his corner and with G. Evans line in all 142 poles to a stake thence East 22 poles to the beginning. Beginning about 20 poles from the North East corner of the tract of land where Henderson Baker now lives running East with Geo. Evans line 200 poles to a Post Oak thence South 48 poles to a stake in E.W. Napier's line thence West 47 poles with said Napier's line to his corner a poplar thence South 94 poles to a Dogwood thence West 153 poles to a Black Oak thence North 142 poles to the beginning.
Beginning on the East boundary line of a tract where Geo. Evans now lives running North crossing a branch 80 poles to a stake to said Evans NE corner thence East with Absolom Bakers line passing his SE corner to a White Oak at 52 poles in all 85 poles to a Dogwood thence South crossing Branch at 62 poles in all 75-1/4 poles to a Dogwood thence West 85-1/4 poles to a double Blk Oak (-?-) Evans East boundary line thence North 27-1/2 poles to the beginning containing 224-1/2 acres as estimated in the deeds of conveyance which will be filed on or before the hearing.
He shows that said land cannot be partitioned in kind and that it will be manifestly(?) to the interest of the heirs to sell the same and divide the proceeds among the heirs He shows that the said widow is entitled to Homestead and dower in said lands.
He shows that the land would have to be divided into four equal parts and two of these parts sub-divided the one in seven parts among the Harrold heirs and five parts among the Adcox heirs. He shows that said land is worth about Five Hundred dollars.
The residence of the parties are as shown in the caption and the minors are without regular guardian. He shows that all the parties are Grandchildren of Henderson Baker except myself and A Baker.
Isabel Baker married George Harrold and died leaving seven children. Theny Baker married JW Adcock & died leaving five children now living.
Therefore the promises concidered complanant prays That a Guardian ad litem be appointed for the minors. That all those names as Defts be made such by service of Spa(?) and that ill be required to answer this bill but not on oath the same being waived.
That the rights of the parties to said land be settled and declared by the decree of the court, and that said land be sold and the proceeds after paying the costs be divided among the parties in accordance with their respective rights and to this end all necessary references be made to the clerk and complt prays for general relief
