"We the undersigned heirs of Rachell Bass, dec'd agree to make the following settlement and compromise (viz) we agree that our advancements are all equal except James Tubb and wife and Daulphin Bass, the said Tubb has been advanced to the amount of $12.50 over and above the ballance of the heirs and I, the said Ezekiel Bass for the minors agree that the minors have been advanced equal to the ballance and take the responsibility as their guardian to order the negro property or proceeds arising from the same to be divided upon the above basis.
