pg 19. 20 Jan 1854. Year's provision set apart to Rebedda Garrison, widow of E.M. Garrison, dec'd. "I have this day agreed to take from my husband the following property to my part as there is nothing more that the law allows me though I wish the debts paid and I give the ballance of the property in the hand of the administrator to sell, 2 beds and furniture, one small table all the kitchen furniture, 6 chairs, the ballance of the property I want the administrator to have and sell this 20th of Feb 1854". pg 20. 10 Feb 1854. Edward Evans, administrator of Henry Burket, on account of sale made after the widow Nancy Burket took possession of the property the law allows her.


pg 21. 8 Aug 1854. Gipson R. West appointed administrator of the estate of John F. West, dec'd.


pg 21-24. 22 Jul 1854. James H. Lawrence and James H. Close administrators of the estate of Pharris Lawrence report $187.92 from the sale of slaves. Total amount to be distributed to heirs, $347.21, hence each to receive one share as follows:

pg 24. 7 Sept 1854. Abraham Witt, guardian of Abner Witt's children. "The sum of $196.00 paid into the office as proceeds of the sale of the land in the case if Isabeller Witt and others."


pg 26-27. 16 Aug 1854. "Received of W.J. Isbell and William H. Magness, $5.37 each in full of our part as heirs and distribtuees of Isaac Purtle, dec'd on account of money drawn by one David O. pg 62. 21 Feb 1855. In this cause of John W. Bass, administrator and others, heirs at law of Rachel Bass, dec'd, petition to sell land. Received of Exekiel Bass for himself and as guardian of Thomas and Elizabeth Bass, $384.00 as distributees at law of Archibald Mc. Bass and Rachel Bass, dec'd--$100.00 as part of my distributive share of the proceeds of the minors Thomas and Elizabeth Bass. Signes E.W. Bass, guardian.


pg 64. 30 Dec 1854. "We the undersigned heirs of Rachell Bass, dec'd agree to make the following settlement and compromise (viz) we agree that our advancements are all equal except James Tubb and wife and Daulphin Bass, the said Tubb has been advanced to the amount of $12.50 over and above the ballance of the heirs and I, the said Ezekiel Bass for the minors agree that the minors have been advanced equal to the ballance and take the responsibility as their guardian to order the negro property or proceeds arising from the same to be divided upon the above basis. (Signed) John W. Bass, John W. Bethel, James P. Tubb, Thomas D. Bass, E.W. Bass, and Elizabeth Bass by E.W. Bass, guardian."
