THE BECKWITH INN


The Beckwith Inn stood on the turnpike 3 miles west of Smithville, and was operated by the Beckwith family from 1843 until some years after the Civil War. President Andrew Jackson stayed here in the 1820's when the inn was operated by the Cannady family
