In 1852 an Anna HOUSDEN is a legal resident of DeKalb County. She
sells land in Williamson County that appearently she inherited from
her mother Elizabeth BARNES. A witness signature on this deed is
John or James LEEK. Anna BARNES married a Samuel LEEK (suspect
Williamson
County, Tennesse) in 1818. A Hanna LEEK married a Benjamin HOUSDEN
in Williamson County in 1839. Appearently they separated in 1841 as
Benjamin files a trust deed in that year in Williamson County and in
it he talks about wanting to provide for this wife Anna at their
separation. It almost sounds like a will except that he comments
"...if she should ever decide to habitate with me again ....
Any information about this family would be greatly appreciated.
