Seeking information on Anna, Charles Irvin and Joseph Levis (or
Lewis) BENECKE, BENEGAR, BENEDICT OR BENEKE. These children were
orphaned in Morgan County after 1854. I hope someone can assist me.

Martin GOOLSBY married Sallie BARR in White County 16 July 1843. The
1850-1880 census they are Dekalb County TN. Any information on this
family and their children would be appreciated. Where did this family

My gr grandfather Landon Britt RICHARDSON born TN 1831. Married
Martha TURNER in DeKalb Co in 1858. He is living in the HH of an
Elizabeth Woodsides in 1850 census of DeKalb. I believe she may have
been his mother. He is mentioned in Will Hale's History of DeKalb Co
as being one of the "big and tall men of the county". Captured by
Union in Civil War. He and my gr grandmother, Nancy Frances Jennings
were married in Wilson Co in Dec 1865. 5 sons. Moved to TX about
1877. Some connection to THW Richardson of DeKalb Co who died in
1904. Would love to know who his parents were. Thanks.

Looking for information on Luke WATSON and Mary NOKES. Their
children were Carlie, Lofton and Barbara. Luke was living near
Liberty, DeKalb Co. when he died in November, 1971. Mary died around

I am looking for information concerning my grandmother, Sarah Samatha
Chapman. Her mother, Mary Jane Wauford, was the daughter of Benjamin
and Sarah F.Wauford of Dekalb County, and listed in the 1860 Dekalb
County census. In Oct. of 1869, Mary Jane married Samson Chapman. He
died the following year and in Sept. 1870, my grandmother, Sarah
Samatha Chapman, was born. In 1874, Mary Jane married Thomas E.
Chumley. I cannot find any additional information. I would like to
know where my grandmother grew up since I believe she may have lived
with a family other than with her mother and step-father. If you have

My ggg grandfather, Samuel Pistole, is said to have been a plantation
owner from Tennessee. His daughters, Mary Ann (my gg grandmother)
and her sister Jane, married brothers (Henry Harrison and William
Reynolds, respectively). I have nothing on Samuel. Mary Ann was
b.3/26/1836, m.7/3/1864 and d.3/13/1907 (died in Enid, Oklahoma
Territory). They are said to have originated in DeKalb County, TN.
Does anyone have any info that would help me learn more?

Is anyone familiar with a traveling tent revival preacher/evangelist
by the name of GRADY CANTRELL? He would have been born between
1900-1910 because he was in his late 20's/early 30s in 1930 when he
did a ten day revival in Virden, IL. He came back for another
revival meeting later that same year. Thank you.

Reuben HALE/HAIL was born 1802 in Tennessee(probably Smith CO TN)He
married Lucy WEAVER. She died. He then married Lucy's sister, Martha
WEAVER TAYLOR. She also died. Reuben then moved to MO and then to
California. He died in 1873. There was also another Reuben HALE who
was born in Smith CO in 1834. He married Catherine VANTREASE in 1853.
He served the Union Army and then lived in DeKalb CO TN. I believe
that they are related. Does anyone know who the parents are of
either one of the men. If you know anything about them, please let
me know. Thanks so much. These men lived in Smith County
