Second Quarter, 2004
I am looking for information on Finley MARTIN listed (I am told) in
the 1850 Census for DeKalb Co. He was born in 1803. Any info on him
would be most appreciated. A list of his household in the 1850

I am looking for any info on Elijah Smith b. abt. 1808/1810 and
Malinda Puckett b. abt. 1813/1818. I beleive they were both born in
White county TN & were married there, but they came to Dekalb county
TN after they were married and had several children. I am interested
on their childrens names & birthdates alot of records differ on the
childrens names & birthdates so I wanted to see if anyone knew more

Looking for information on the Ford family. I see a lot of Fords
mentioned in the histories but havn't managed to connect them yet. I
am related to a John Henry Ford born Feb 8 1890 in Silver Point and
married there also about 1858. I am looking for any burial
information and his parents. His son Samuel Hunt Ford was born 6 Dec
1858 there and was buried there May 3 1939. I am looking for
information on Samuel's children. He had 8 children. I would also
appreciate any connections to other Ford's mentioned in this site.

I am trying to find out the father's name of Joseph Hale.Joseph
married Matilda Crook on Jan.3,1887. The Children were William,
James, Delta,Maggie,Ider, and Hassie. He married again to a Mary and
had children Clifton, Lillian and Elmer. With Matilda, He lived in
District 3, Pea Ridge. With Mary, he lived in District 5, Blue
Springs. Joe died before 1930 census. I have no brother or sister
names and there were several Joe Hale's in the area at the time. He
was born app. 1853. Any help would be appreciated

I submitted this request on Nov. 20, 2002. I did not realize that I
did not put my complete e-mail address. So if anyone can please help
me I would greatly appreciate it.
Looking for any & all information about William Edgar Williams family
in DeKalb Co., TN. He married Fanny Bell Taylor daughter of Levi R.
Taylor and Rebbecca Prentiss. Edgar and Fanny are listed in the 1920
Census for DeKalb children listed William McKinley abt 8, Clarence
Dibrell abt 6, Clara Bell abt 3 and son Oren E age 21. I think Edgar
may have been married before marring Fanny on July 4, 1909. Edagar
and Fanny both are buried in Atoka Co, OK in the Bently Cemetary.
They also had twins born to them in Aug 1920. Harold Odell and Howard
Cordill. I would appreciate any information on the Williams and
Taylor Family.

Looking for information On Matlock Roberts married to Zilpha
(Blaine?) Born about 1810 in Kentucky, then came to DeKalb County.
They had 17 children. Matlock died in 1894. Matlock's son James
Henry married Malvina Warford/Wauford July 21, 1873. I am decended
from their daughter Minnie Roberts. I have pictures of Matlock &
Zilpha.

I am searching for the parents of my father, William Winfrey
Marshall. Their names are ANDREW MARSHALL and NANCY PRESLEY. They
were married 4/5/1883 in DeKalb Co. Tn. It is believed Nancy was
previously married to DANIEL BAKER 6/14/1874. Nancy had 2 brothers
Enoch and Dock Presley. Any info would be most appreciated. Nancy
PRESLEY MARSHALL died and was buried in Huntsville about 1908. No
info available at all on Andrew MARSHALL.

surname was Pressly and it is thought she was previously married to

Looking for information on Matlock Roberts married to Zilpha, son was
James Henry Roberts born august 26, 1855 married to Malvina Warford.
James and Malvina had 12 children, one was Minnie Roberts my great
grandmother. Any informatin would be be appreciated. I have
pictures of Matlock and Zilpha and other tin photos of Minnie's
family traveling.

Thomas "Tom" Bogle and his wife Nancy Stanley lived in the Liberty
area of Dekalb Co., TN. Their son Thomas Andrew Bogle b 1878 in his
1944 obituary stated that he was a son of Thomas Bogle & Nancy
Stanley Bogle and had surviving 3 brothers John Bogle, Albert Bogle &
Jim Bogle of Liberty, TN and 2 sisters Evalina Darting & Sallie
Ashford of Liberty, TN. Thomas Andrew Bogle died 11-25-1944 in Halls,
Rutherford Co., TN. I would like to hear from anyone who is
researchng the Bogle Family or has knowledge of this family. Am

Reuben HAIL was from DeKalb County and served in the Civil War.
Earlier in Smith County, nearby, was born another Reuben Hail who may
have been related to him. Reuben Hail born in 1802 was living in
Smith County at the time of the 1830 census. He later moved to
Missouri. He died in California in 1873. He may have lived in that
part of Smith County that became DeKalb County. If you know anything
about these two men who shared the same name, please contact me. If
you know about the younger or the older Reuben Hail, please contact
me. If you know of any relation between them, please contact me.

Searching for any info on a Cal or Calvin ELKINS who fathered two
children in Knox county TN 1)Robert Allen ELKINS born 1884 2)Leora
Elkins b. 1887 with Sarh E. VARNER b.1865 or 1866 also in Knox co.
I am not sure if Cal and Sarah were ever married. Family says Cal
disappeared when the children were young and may have went out west
also he may have been born in Anderson county TN. I would love to

I need a lookup please. The courthouse clerks say they do not have
the staff to research. I do not know if it is a will or what that I
am looking for. +++++DeKalb Co 'James W BAKER ex against G W
HUTCHINS et al Jan 30 1866 to sell land Isaac W DILDINE bidder'+++
I am looking for documents that have to do with this transaction. It
may have been land owned by James DILDINE or his dau Mary DILDINE
HUTCHINGS.
I live out of state and would appreciate anyone going to the
courthouse to look for this.
Try for pg 626 in book K or some other book. I don't know if it is
in a 'deed' book or 'will' court record.
Any info on any DILDINEs living in DeKalb in the 1800s would be
appreciated. Trust me, there aren't many of them.

Looking for any information John Harrison THOMASON B:March 10, 1894
D:July 16,1980. Also any information on his wife Winnie A. FISH
B:Oct 14, 1897 D:Jan 27, 1969. At 43, I just found out that the
Thomason's of DeKalb County are my blood family, and gathered the
foregoing information from their tombstones in the Salem Cemetary at
Liberty. Also any information on the father of John J. SUMMERS would
