The Entrenou Book Club met Friday afternoon with Mrs. Ira CLARK in the Hotel McCanless.

W. F. TAYLOR of Terrell, Okla. is the guest of his sister, Mrs. I. D. PARK.

Mrs. Annie COFFMAN who moved to Memphis a few months ago has returned to Friendship to live.

John TAYLOR of Memphis visited Mr. & Mrs. I. D. PARK this week.

A. A. CARTER has returned from Caruthersville and Memphis.

Dr. Clyde NASH of Bonicord was in the city yesterday.

Mrs. John EVANS of McComb City, Miss. was the guest of T. N. LOVE and family.

Rev. J. T. BARBER, the new Baptist pastor, will preach at Coffman Hall next Sunday morning at 10:30.

Miss Katherine EVANS spent Saturday with Miss Frankie Lou CHAMBERS.

Mrs. Sammie EVANS was in Dyersburg Saturday shopping.

Miss Erma CHAMBERS of Tigrett spent Saturday and Sunday in Dyersburg.

Mrs. ST. JOHN, aged about 45 years, well known lady residing near Maury City, was the victim of a horrible accident yesterday. She was rendering lard when her clothes became ignited and she was so badly burned that no hope is entertained for her recovery. She was still living at 9 o'clock this morning.

W. P. SANDERS of the firm, WRAY & SANDERS, hardware dealer, has sold his interest to his partner, W. E. WRAY. Mr. SANDERS' residence was also included in the trade. Mr. WRAY will have as his partner, a brother who lives in Texas.

Esq. W. J. PERRY of near Chestnut Bluff was in town Monday.

Mr. & Mrs. R. T. COFFMAN and Messrs. WEST and IRVAN went to Dyer Sunday in Mr. COFFMAN's car.

Tip SIMMONS and Robert MOORE of Trenton visited relatives here Sunday.

Mrs. T. G. MILLER and daughter, Miss Bertha, of Halls visited Mayor & Mrs. S. F. MOORE this week.

Mrs. Ann HILL is visiting her brother, J. H. BESSENT, of Tigrett.

W. S. SIMMONS has purchased the house occupied by Dr. D. A. WALKER of Harwell Heights from L. B. HARWELL. Consideration: $1,200.

Mr. Drew AVERY of Crockett Mills was here Monday.

W. W. MAXWELL and Leslie SIMS attended a meeting of Davy Crockett Tent K. O. T. M. at Crockett Mills last Friday night.

Euriel MOORE and family of Crockett Mills were the guest of Dr. THOMPSON and family Sunday.

Mrs. J. P. SIMS and daughter, Miss Lida Sue, are visiting near Dyer.

Will AMOS of Dyer was a visitor here Saturday and Sunday.

Sheriff Joe McLEAN of Alamo was here last week.

Fred DODD, who has been in Missouri for sometime, returned home last week.

Carl GRIFFIN has returned from Missouri.

The remains of Mrs. Fannie STALLINGS who died in the West Tennessee Asylum at Boliver yesterday were shipped here today and interred at Antioch. she formerly lived in this community. Three sons and one daughter survive.

Mr. Jimmie WHITE and Miss Grace VERNON, popular young people of the Elizabeth community, were married Sunday, Rev. SAULBURY officiating.
