Ida Jane Fisher, Archelaus "Cheed" Brooks b.1867 TN. They were
in Cocke Co., TN. in 1860 but in Keytsville, Chariton Co., MO.1880. I

- William M. Bailey born 13 May
1824 Cocke County, TN, according to his Union military papers. Married
Mary Elizabeth Blanchard ca 1845. Wm Bailey and his family are on the
60, and 70 Monroe County, TN census. Children included: Sarah
Charlotte, Mary, John, Sefronia, Emily, William, Margaret, George
Leuvenia, Susan & Nancy. This family migrated to Texas where
found in Fannin Co, Tx in 1880. They settled in Montague Co., Tx. and
moved to Comanche, Stephens County, Ok. William died Feb 4, 1902.
HUFF, JESTER, STOKELY
- Interested in
lineage of Jehu Jester m. Susan Stokely and parents of John Jester m.
Huff and parents of Jarmina Ann Jester b. 2/11/1826 in New Port, TN d.
3/13/1896 Cherokee, Texas.
- Looking for any information related
to John and Elizabeth Thomas Weaver, who came from Sullivan Co., TN.,
to the 1820's. John Weaver was the son of Frederick A. and Catherine
Weaver, he was born abt. 1786 Sullivan Co., TN. and died abt. 1855
Co., TN. Frederick Abraham Weaver, the father of John Weaver was a
of the Battle of King's Mountain. Would like any information related to
the children of John and Elizabeth Thomas Weaver, one child was
Weaver, 1818 Cocke Co., TN. and married William C. Click ca. 1850 and
other Weaver information. They may have lived in the Cosby area of
Co., TN. Thank You.
CLEVENGER, HOOD, LINGFELTER
- My great
great grandmother was Mahala Hood, wife of Elias Clevenger, buried in
Cemetery #1, Cocke Co, TN. She married Elias after having two children
with John Lingenfelter, Theodocia (Eudocia) and Molly. I have never
able to figure out exactly what her relationship was with John
and his sister, Elizabeth. I just know Mahala & Molly were
them in the 1850 Jefferson Co, TN Census. Both Eudocia and Molly were
as John Lingenfelter's heirs after 1870. Eudocia (my great grandmother)
m. Clayborn Mantooth (son of Harriet Mantooth) and Molly married
Lloyd. Mahala Clevenger was living with Pleasant and Molly in the 1900
Cocke Co, TN Census.

Green Inmann. What is his wife's name? She appears to have died after
birth of a son between 1845 & 1850. Any other info on Inman's
be great. The inman's are found in the 1850 Cocke Co. tenn cenus

- Looking for
information on John Hunter Clark, married to Mary "Polly" Hood
(daughter of Allen Hood). Lived in Cocke Co. (1832-1873). Had 7
James Allen, Cassandra "Cassie", Juda "Judy" Caroline,
Hugh, Mary, Nancy and Biers Tipton. Joseph Able married Malinda Able,
of Isaac Green and Sarah Henry. Lived in Cocke County prior to 1861.
was born in Greene County and Malinda was born in Cocke County. Joseph
was on the 1860 census in the household of Hezekiah Able and Malinda
on the 1860 census in the household of her father Isaac Green. Any
on these families would be appreciated.

information on the Lenox family, in particular, my g-g-g-g-grandfather
John Lenox Jr. b around 1820 in Cocke County. His son was Thomas G.
b 1840s?? in Morgan County AL. Thomas was in the Civil War. John was
to a Mathilda Acoles. I am also interested in finding about about his

LAMBERT, LAWSON, WARDEN
- I am looking
for information on Daniel Lambert who married Nancy Lawson and is shown
on the Cocke Cty. 1850 census. They had several children one being
Jane who married David Warden. I would appreciate ANY information on
people. Spartanburg, SC.

Lillian Gibson. Ethel married Thomas Redwine the year is unknown. Ethel
was born Feb. 4, 1883 in Cumberland Co., TN. Thomas and Ethel had three
children, Ruth Ann, Jack Haskell and Thomas Eckle, Jr. I'm looking for
anyone kin to Thomas Redwine or Ethel Gibson.
- Rains, Phillip- Court
records from 1821 in Cocke County indicate that a Nathaniel Maddux
his wife Anny, "who left with Phillip Raines and hasn't been seen
since 1821." John Raines was listed as a witness. Does anyone know
who this Phillip Raines is? Could "Anny" have been Mary Ann

Samual Huff b. Cocke Co. Around 1806-1818. He Married Lucinda
If any one has any information it would be much appreciated.
- Also has been found
spelled Crosslin. I am interested in exchanging any information on the
Crossland family. Samuel and wife Annie(Johnson) Crossland moved to
Co. prior to 1798 from South Carolina. Their son Meredith Taylor
was born in Cocke Co. approximately 1805-1806 and moved to Tuscaloosa
Alabama sometime around 1826.

- I am researching
a Cassie and William Clark. Their mother was Anne Clark. Cassie married
a John Ellison. William married Louisa Nichols and then Ellen Cole.

- Seeking information on sons
of Daniel Driskill of Campbell Co. VA., including Richard , Moses,
and David. Also, perhaps, Obadiah, who later settled in Williamson Co.
Arrival of these families would have been about 1800.
- Looking for information
on the Thomas Clark line. Thomas married Susanna Payne in Cocke County
around 1780 and died there 27 June 1821. Susanna Payne Clark died there
15 April 1826.
Sharp. Seeking information
on the Sharp family in Cocke Co., TN. According to family records,
was born Apr 15, 1824 in Cocke Co., TN. Notes say that the Sharps in TN
were blacksmiths. He married Martha Keaton in 1847 in Jefferson Co, KS.

- Looking for information regarding Robert Gilliand,
Robert is believed to be the father of Mary E. Gilliland born October
in Tennessee. Gillilands are prevalent in the 1850 Cocke County
Census. Mary E. Gilliland married Henry Cutshall on 5 June 1888 in
County, North Carolina. Mary E. Gilliland is my great great grandmother
and any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
