I am looking for BATEMANS in the Clay County area. Particularly, James E. BATEMAN and his wife Virginia (?). I believe that they moved from Celina, Tennessee to Celina, Texas sometime after the Civil War and before April 1879. Any leads will be appreciated. I have information on his decendants after he reached Texas and will be happy to share this info.

I am searching for decendants of Ida Elizabeth Burchett. Info on her daughter'Martha Elizabeth Scott's death certificate was that her name was Ida Flatt. So sometime in the late 1990's she could have married a Flatt. What was his name and when did they marry? My mother says she remembers visiting her grandmother Ida in Mt. Juliet Tn in the early 1930's. Ida was married to Riley Burchett and they had 2 sons, Walter and Claudie and 3 daughters Florence, Martha and Maud. Any info on these people would be greatly appreciated.

Seeking information on my GGF Robert Harvey (d:1893-Clay Co Tn), lived near Heard Ridge in Harvey Hollow, arrived Clay Co following the CW with 2 kids from first marriage (1b-Bart/1-d Babe Harvey Long), remarried Margaret Johnson (circa 1875). They had sons: Thomas; Sherman; Curtis; Leslie A (my GF) and William. Their daughters: Lena Harvey Colson and Ida Harvey Taylor. His sister (name unk) arrived in Clay Co (circa 1910) and married Curtis Aldridge. Our family ancestral name of Oney/Onas (short for Onesiphorus) shows up in his grandchildren: Onas Harvey, son of son Thomas; Oney Colson, daughter of Lena; and Oney (Ann) Wilborn, daughter of my GF Leslie and wife of George Wilborn. I believe this line extends from their GGF Rev Thomas Harvey from Surry Co NC/Knox Co Tn and their GF Onesiphorus Syprus Harvey (b:8/14/1804) in Wash Co TN through son Henry Harvey. Hope to pin down his sister's name through the Aldridge line. For anyone in Clay Co, does the Court in Celina still hold early Clay Co records or have they been transferred to Nashville? Could use a point of contact in Celina. Robert is now buried on Fairview Ridge follwoing relocation due to Dale Hollow creation. Appreciate help in back tracking.
