The above photograph, of Hugh Douglas Dyke and his wife, Hannah Jane (Smith) Dyke, is from the photo collection of Viola Vivian (O'Bryant) Felton.  Viola is the paternal grandmother of the submitter.  Viola's mother died soon after Viola's birth, and Viola was  raised by her grandparents, Hugh and Hannah Dyke. This photograph shows the GAR Officer's Medal pinned to Hugh Douglas Dyke.
