
EDWARD L. BUFORD

Edward L. Buford was in the 3rd Tenn Inf (Clack's) and was surrendered at Fort Donelson 16 Feb 1862 and sent ot Camp Douglas IL. The unit was exchanged and back in the field by Nov 1862. Buford was again captured 4 May 1864 and sent to Rock Island IL and exchanged at City Point VA 6 Mar 1865. The photo was taken at Hall's in Nashville in 1865 ot 1866. Ed was a clerk downtown, becomig a salesman in 1871. At some later date he became a partner in Buford Brothers Wholesale Hardware.
