Present on rolls for the months of April, May, June, July, and August 1863. Show him absent, sick in hospital at Crab Orchard, Kentucky on July/August Roll.

Present Sept., October, November, December 1863. Present for Oct. 31, 1863 through Feb. 29th 1864. Present March, April 1864. Absent May and June 1864 with note "At hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., wounded in action at Resacca, Georgia May 14, 1864.

Absent July and August 1864 with note "Sick in Hospital, Knoxville, Tenn. since May 14th, 1864. Present on rolls for Sept., October, November, and December 1864. Present on rolls for January, February, March, and April 1865.

Mustered out at Company Shops, North Carolina on 30 June 1865. Last paid 31 Dec. 1864. Due $100.00. Remarks: Due U.S. for one cartridge box, belt, and plate. Wounded at Battle of Resacca, Georgia May 14, 1864.

Recieved pension for wound at Resacca. Had little finger amputated on left hand and "g.o.w. mid. finger left hand." Not sure what this means. Will relate more pension information on PENSION SITE.
Personal Information about the Veteran (Not contained in the CMSR):
Wade Green was born in Cocke County, Tenn. on 6 August 1833 and died in Cocke County on 15 July 1905. He married twice. He is buried at Clay Creek Baptist Church and has a regular stone. I had a veterans stone placed for him as well. Wade was the son of John and Martha Maria Hampton Green, who came to Tenn. from South Carolina.

Wade also had four brothers who fought in Co. C, 8th Tennessee Volunteer Infantry. They were Alfred, Joseph, Wesley, and William. Wesley was wounded at Utoy Creek, Georgia.
